I was lucky to acquire a "one Person" doves from the air at a local club auction. It needs some work. I have fixed up the cage no problem. However I am "stuck" on the gimmick for the net. The mechanism works fine. I just need to replace the fake in the net. I originally tried a white t-shirt trimmed up and attached to the frame, but it just does not look right?
Any suggestions? |

I know that Abbotts repairs them. I don't know if they will sell you the parts to repair it yourself

Richard makes amazing flower pieces. I would honestly send it to him!!!
I have a "Fastest trick in the world" of Richard's which was Darren Romeo's - Splendid!! Flower fabrication is becoming a lost art, so go to Richard and have it done properly. --Vinny |

Vinny,
I forgot I sold a Fastest to Darren. That has got to be almost 20 years old. I still remember well your little tour when we (John & Morgan) were working there. The big warehouse and going under the Ventian to see the toys. Richard

Richards work is master. However you can use cotton sheet to design the gimmick dove. If you can try to store it open once in a while it helps the srping like gimmick much like an appearing cane wich should be left open now n again. For the net I reccomend you get fine gage rust proof wire and wrap it around 4 corners through the netting it helps to keep the net nice n open for you. It's just a question of bending by a simple twist and mashing it for transport. When ready just open and form to shape.
