Hey guys,
after seeing myself on camera for the first time, I have noticed how much of a david blaine approch I have taken towards my close up cards presentations, and I was wondering, which books/dvds would be best for learning how to script a close up routine
thanks
Joe

I would second that recommendation and also encourage you to look at Ron Bauer's series of books.

Hi Joe,
What kind of tone/genre do you want to develop? Gambling demo, comedy, mentalism...?
"Is there any point to which you would wish to draw my attention?"
"To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time."
"The dog did nothing in the night-time."
"That was the curious incident," remarked Sherlock Holmes.

If you are doing card work (like I am also), then "Strong Magic" by Ortiz is a must read. I would also highly recommend a DVD by Eugene Burger called "Exploring Magical Presentation." I got several helpful ideas from that.
Magically yours,
Tom Olshefski

"The Power of Myth," by Joseph Campbell (as interviewed by Bill Moyers).
