My second choice...Ringo. Just because he's Ringo.

Speaking of Ringo, will no one mention Pete Best? (Which remind me, I once bought an album called "Best of the Beatles" by mistake. Yep, it was an album of Pete . . .)

I've never actually heard Pete Best that I know of. I saw that movie "Backbeat" and even had some official "Backbeat" souvenir drumsticks though.

With respect to Pete Best and Ringo Starr, the change in personnel coincided with the phenomenal success of the band . . . I know thatit might be post hoc ergo propter hoc, but Ringo does seem to have added something . . . .

I've seen many a Ringo Starr and his Allstar band concert. Always a lot of fun. And you got to like a guy who's married Barbara Bach. Love those Bond girls.
I've also got to give a shout out to Gibson Kemp who replaced Ringo in Rory Storm and The Hurricanes band. Owns a pub in Hamburg and is still drumming.

I always thought of Ringo as sort of the band moderator. I think if it wasn't for him they would have broken up a lot sooner. I don't know if that's accurate, but it's the impression I got.

He seem to be the one who alway's got along with each of the others when arguing or fighting.

I always loved watching Van Halen videos that had live performances, because of the contrast between Eddie and Alex Van Halen...Alex always looked like he was at 110%, just working his *** off and about to have his brain explode, then you'd cut to Eddie, and he looked like he could be doing 7 other things at the same time...playing blindfold chess, talking philosophy, juggling a soccer ball with his feet...and, oh yeah, busting out one ridiculous solo after another.

Mike Portnoy- Former drummer for dream Theater.
There is a video of him ad-libbing Neil Peart's signature solo from the Moving Pictures era on a reproduction of Neil's drum kit of that same era. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_e4ONBK4tw0

No mention of Terry Bozzio yet? His name appears on top drummer lists.
