Mitcham, Surrey and Springcroft, London, you have the added value of knowing that your Hallowe'en Special Edition DarkSpells were posted on Guy Fawkes Day--they are on their way. Enjoy Bonfire Night--wish I were there. Remember, remember!

Update on availability:
I currently have 4 copies of the Special Edition still available (possibly 3, depending on a pending sale) and have already had two PMs this morning about these.
If you want one of the Hallowe'en Special Editions of DarkSpell, they may well be sold out soon.
There will still be 'regular' DarkSpells available in stock after the Hallowe'en Special Edition sells out.
I will post here as soon as the last Hallowe'en Special Edition is sold.
If you place your order after the last Special Edition has been sold, I or Rick will contact you first to see if you want a 'regular' DarkSpell and allow you the option of canceling your order.
To repeat what is said in earlier posts on this thread, the Special Edition is exactly the same as the 'regular' DarkSpell (same effect & book) except it has a bit of extra 'mold' on the pages, blood red wax dripped on the front cover, and the Certificate of Authenticity carries both the number of this copy out of the full run of 100 as well as a notation that this is one of the 13 copies finished on Hallowe'en 2011 and the special number of this copy out of those Special 13.
Thanks to everyone for your interest and support. Remember to check Outlaw's DarkSpell chat room forum for more information and performance ideas.

With or without extra mold and red wax, Darkspell is simply amazing! If only I had more opportunities and bizzare settings, I would perform the routine way more often

Just received my copy (#47) "Halloween edition" (#10/13). This thing is "beautiful"!! I haven't even read thru it, or figured out the details on performance, but it looks and feels incredibly authentic, and gives one the creeps just looking and handling it. Couldn't be happier with the purchase, even though I haven't gotten into the werks yet.

Many thanks for the PM. Great idea. I should have done this before. This is the Table of Contents for DarkSpell listing the magic your spec can do. Your spec turns to the index on pages 5 and 6 to choose any of the following spells (you employ no force of any kind). While a few of these headings have only one spell attached to them, there are several specific spells (as many as 8) under most of these spell headings.
Ye Spells (drawn from the Sator-Arepo magic square):
Satorti: To Beguile Wealth 8-15
Satorum: To Protect Wealth 16-19
Satorat: To Draw Wealth 20-25
Risisio: Ye Spells of Health 26-29
Oisisir: To Make Healthy 30-45
Arepoat: To Influence Health in Another 46-49
Arepoti: To Influence Health in Self 50-63
Arepoto: To Protect Health in Another 64
Elymsis: To Create a Contented Mind 66-69
Sismyle: To Confound Contentment in Another 70
Tenetum: To Know Secrets 72-77
Tenetis: To Protect Secrets 78-81
Tenetan: To Sow Secret Discord in Another 82-87
Natenet: To Cast a Secret Curse 88
Absoria: To Obtain Absolution From Fault 90-97
Operam: To Gain Protection From Harm 98
Operami: To Do Harme uponne Another 100-115
Operamus: To Protect Property From Harm 116-119
Operati: To Protect Another From Harm 120-125
Operatisti: To Learn Who Hath Done Harm Unto Thee 126-129
Operasi: To Charm a Token With Magic That It May Protect One from Harme 130-135

Quivati: To Charm a Pathway To Thy Bidding 138-145
Quivatirum: To Place Ye Curse Of Death uponne a Pathway 146

DarkSpell Hallowe'en edition has landed in London. It is awesome, but then so is the original DarkSpell. I'll be leaving the additional aging exactly as it is.

Dark Cabinet arrived today!!! Will read up the instructions later on, but the look of the box is just amazing. Love how theres a little drawer for your tarot and other trinkets too. The keys and padlock are also aged very nicely. The cabinet smells like death itself, not stinky like a corpse but you'll know what I mean if you own it. My Darkspell is now very happy it has a new home hehe. Now just waiting for Hobbs box to turn up.. Mann outlaw items are so addicting haha

I wanted to thank Rick and Professor BC for DarkSpell, this It's a real grimoire. The book is very well manufactured and the system in the effect is very clever. Thank you very much for including me in the special edition of Halloween, (I have 1/13).
Thanks

In the spirit of holiday giving, DarkSpell owners are invited to visit the Outlaw DarkSpell forum for your special Christmas present: a full effect to be used in your DarkSpell routine, complete with all (full-colour) printable props and the performance manual you will need to perform the miracle. (This is a downloadable program that requires you to print the props and, if desired, age them).
How do you get it? Go to the DarkSpell page on the Outlaw forum, click the "Props" thread and then click "Christmas Present." You will find a link there to three pdf files containing everything you need to make and perform The Alchemist's Bane as described in your DarkSpell performance manual.
Many thanks to Vic Nadata for the technical assistance in putting these files into a downloadable format.
Happy holidays to you from me, the Spirit of Christmas Yet to Come.

Many thanks Prof.

A Public Service Announcement:
The DarkSpell 2011 Hallowe'en Special Edition is sold out and not to be repeated. There are, however, still copies of DarkSpell available for those of you with visions of a distinctly non-sugarplum variety dancing in your heads.

I received my DarkSpell recently (#12 of 13) and it is truly magnificent. However, I fear that some may think it is not worth it to order now that there are no more Hallowe'en Special Editions available. I just want to put those fears to rest.
Let me assure you that, while the extra mold and wax are nice touches, they are really quite minor. Seriously. In fact, I decided that mine looked better without the wax so I scraped it off. The book itself, with the instructions, is an absolute treasure, and already has superior aging. (I have wanted a gimmicked Gr1m01re for the longest time, and this baby is the creme de la creme!)
Whether you are a practicing Bizarrist, a mentalist, or simply a curator of haunted oddities, you will find wonders in this book. From being able to divine from the start which spell the participant chose, to actually having magic happen from the book in the person's hands, to actually doing impressive readings, telepathy, spirit evocation, white and black magic... this thing is a powerhouse, and its appearance alone is a trance induction in itself! The Elizabethan language, spellings, fonts, and colored illuminated letters are really top notch! You even get a refresher on roman numerals, which is helpful. Keep in mind, the Professor's listing of the Table of Contents, above, is not exhaustive--he lists the general headings, but most chapters have several more specific spells in each category (some are downright shocking, and feel VERY authentic).
Additionally, the bonus routine and props for "The Alchemist's Bane" are tremendously good, and are given away in the DarkSpell Forum--FREE (for how long, I don't know). Insane...
I have several books from Outlaw, and this is my favorite, hands down! I want to urge anyone who may be on the fence to go ahead and take the plunge--it is not nearly as expensive as some Outlaw products, and this is a limited run, NEVER to return once sold out.
To reiterate: the Special Edition touches were appreciated, but not strictly necessary, and really didn't add that much, as the tome is already near perfect as is. There are still many things you can do yourself to add to the illusion of being old and well-used (again, see the forum).
This baby exudes beauty and power...

Dr Rob, I hope you receive it in time for Christmas. Prof B C has previously shipped items to me in the UK on three separate occasions, and I've never had a problem. He's always posted them quickly, regardless of his work schedule, and they've usually arrived around eight days later.
Seth, that's an awesome review. I'm lucky enough to own both a standard version and a Hallowe'en edition. They're both superb.

Agree with Seth, if you decided not to order because you missed out on the special Halloween Edition, you will miss out on something very special. I was aware of the book, but did didn't appreciate what it did until forum buzz bubbled up again due to the Halloween edition offering (nice marketing ploy Prof BC!). This caused me to go re-read the description on the Outlaw Effects site. I finally "got it", and promptly ordered my Halloween edition (copy #10). But, even without the extra aging-aesthetics touches by Prof. BC, the original is still a beautiful prop. And with a modicum of prop aging skills, you can readily age your own copy if desired.

Here is something useful for all you Darkspell owners. I came across this while searching the auction site that shall not be named- seeking reference works for the Elizabethan author of the dark book- who by his very nature remains nameless on this board. (But you know who he is.) These are decals- available in 12, 9, and 6 inch sizes at a reasonable price. Tried to post this on the Outlaw Forum- but it appears to be down. Bought a few to put on props, my car- my enemies front doors- etc. . .

I Love the outlook and the "method" is good
But I want someone who already perform help a bit.
as audience keep asking me whats next,
they can't read the book well,
Because some words they don't know the meaning.
And I wanna know most of you who own DS use for opening, ending
Or middle last a long Routine?
Best,
W.D.

With DS you are the guide to the book if there are language issues. First let the participant read the whole spell once. Then have the read it again doing what is required. Let them get as far as they can on their own. When they ask what is next, or say they do not understand, then help them.
There are two ways I help. One is to have them read the passage outloud and I interpret the meaning and explain what to do next. Or I look at the book while they are still holding it, read the section, usually outloud, then explain what to do and have them do it.
In my opinion, it is important to go ahead and let them struggle a bit and do as much as they can because it enhances their experience. Besides, I tell them that it is okay, even expected that they do not understand everything, because how many people in modern times are used to casting spells? Besides us, that is.
