Kut Ups is mentalism using paper and scissors. But it is so much more than that. Armed with the principles, graphics and ideas supplied you can perform a whole array of different effects. Whether forcing a picture in a montage, from a photo strip or using the principle in a reading, Kut Ups is both an ingenious and comprehensive package.

Supplied with the 63 Page ebook is a huge variety of artwork ready and prepared for printing out. Much is cleverly adapted to enable you to force a picture, caption, symbol or word. Also alternative artwork is supplied for many of the effects so if, for example, you did not want to force a certain cartoon character, other pictures and variations are given.

Also once you have learnt the principles it is possible to create your own pictures and versions for forcing. For instance in the strip of photos, you could always compile a set of images showing the 7 Wonders of the World, famous landmarks or celebrities. Having used a variation of UF Grant’s Clipline force for a great many years, Kenton’s thinking behind the visual element is ingenious. I also like the version described for a private reading. However this could easily be expanded using a bigger piece of paper for a group situation. Again a value of Kut Ups is that armed with the concepts and ruses, further ideas are bound to occur and which you can theme to suit your audience and style.

In addition to the many different effects given there is also a section on the psychology involved and reasons which can make your performance even more convincing.

For what you receive, Kut Ups is excellent value but it also comes with two bonus effects. One is from the ever creative Pablo Amira and uses photos of celebrities. Again all is supplied and ready for printing out and with Pablo’s routines almost certain to engage the audience.

A further bonus is Band of Symbols. This is more a close up item and while it may not be earth shattering, it is intriguing and unusual. Again plenty of possibilities, ideas and graphics are given, including for Tarot, Runes, Emotions, Astrological symbols as well as many more. I made up a band containing Egyptian Glyphs. With a story line about one of the Glyphs being special and lucky it delighted the person I tried it out on.

The advert states that Kut Ups is a big download and this is no exaggeration. With the ebook and graphics there is a lot of material to choose from. Also the effects are nicely varied, with some humorous, some involving audience role play and most offering a contrast to the usual mentalism fare.

I was greatly impressed with the content, scope and potential of Kut Ups and if you are wanting to force something with a picture element, it will give you ideas and possibilities aplenty. Highly recommended.
