You know instead of using the thread that came with the Raven, what about invisible thread? although it seems like it would be to easy to break.
What do you think? thanks, big k |

It's a good thought, but I do quite a bit of thread work and yes, I think the Raven would create too much tension on any IT type of thread used by magicians.
Just go with the "original equipment". When the Raven is used properly it's undetectable. Bill Beach |

the IT would break i presume. Having made my own raven, i use fishing lines. Get the thinnest one, used in fly fishing. Im sure exactly how thick because i get given it from a friend but the fishing line wouldnt break..Im not exactly sure if the actual Raven is thread is like this but hope it helps!

I thought of that myself when I purhased a Universal Raven but after some thought, the invisible thread isn't strechy enough, so it is unlikely it would pull back.

I think they ment IT for the "loop", not for the elastic / reel part....

Theres a ton of elastic thread out there, hit the dealers shops...

it wont work but if you use it right the f.l. isn't ever noticed as for the loud snap someone mentioned your raven is to extended try loosening its pull a little or cover it with a slap change/vanish for more detailed explanations of new and innovative tricks i am doing with my raven email me at danreilly19@hotmail.com (of course you will need to be able to tell me how it works to prove you own or have owned one)
if you dont believe in santa clause then why are you at my magic show!?!?!

I got a better idea-SELL THE RAVEN
Sankey's Messiah vanish is more mystifying than the raven and you avoid the cumbersome gimmick. Chris Happy B-Day Café!!!

hows the universal raven different from the others?
|
Howzaat New user United Kingdom 29 Posts |
The Universal Raven is designed for 'non metal' objects such as cloth, paper, thread etc. The Raven is for coins/other metal objects. I only have the the Universal Raven but I think the Raven is much better.

that's cool, now is it made differently? I have the orginal raven you can pm me so we don't go into exposure here.
