Hello again Mr. Erdnase,
There have been two annotated books done of your book Expert at the Card Table. The first by Mr. Vernon, Revelations and later revised as Dai Vernon's Revelation. The second was The Annotated Erdnase by Darwin Ortiz.
In your opinion, as the author, which of these two men did a better job annotating your work? What are the differences of each? And lastly, what are the pro and cons of each.

Motown,
From what we can tell at this late date, these two annotated works had different goals, at least with regard to certain elements of our treatise. The wonderful versions by our biggest champion, Mr. Verner, are concerned almost entirely with the techniques and manipulations themselves. Mr. Ortiz's herculean effort on the other hand, is concerned with the mechanics to be sure, but his interest in history and proper crediting led him to include a great many historical referemces that were absent from the Verner work.
The former is a thoughtful and loving tribute to our original work with sparse but insightful annotations. The latter work is an indisensible research tool created by a modern gambling and advantage playing expert. Choosing between them is something we are not inclined to help you with. The finished expert owns and studies both.
