Never heard of Howard Hamburg before a friend told me how good he is, and that I should see his "Mystical 13".
Now Im conviced - mr Hamburg IS good! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lmrn3svVbIc He sort of reminds me of Brother John Hamman in his style

He has a set of notes and a DVD available, really worth looking into.

He had me fooled, over and over..., at the Magic Apple last month. Nice guy, too.

I just bought his DVD from someone here on the Café and it is great. Most of the effects are fairly easy to do, not requiring heavy sleights of hand but what I like most is the visual style of the DVD. It's a lot of fun to watch and very well done. Watch the youtube trailer and you'll get an idea. I like his card work very much as well as his performance style.

'Mystical 13' is a great trick. It's incredibly easy to work out the method, if you sit down to think about it for a bit, but at the time of seeing the trick it's a strong effect.

I think that this is the most absolutely, best, non gimmicked trick that I love to perform. I am proud to own it and absolutely love Howard's style. There are no gimmicks used at all and the mystery is defying to magicians and lay people a like. This is one of those tricks that I pull out for a special occasion or just to make them think for a moment, that magic is real magic. I might look more into Mr Hamburg and his recommendations. Very fine trick! All of my best to him and to Thank him for sharing this marvelous trick! JW

Used it one time and the result was real great. Coincidentally Howard will lecture in my city tomorrow and it too bad that he will explained this and a few card routines I used in the last few years.
Most memorable moment - with Maestro Juan Tamariz & Consuelo Lorgia in FISM Busan 2018.

This is almost identical to the effect 'Lucky 14' in Blomberg Laboratories, but Thomas' uses only one deck.

I first met him when Jeff McBride introduced me to him, and for a half hour straight I sat and tried to figure it out as, over and over, he would toss a card onto the table and it would appear to change in mid-air, becoming a different card between the time it left his fingers and the moment it landed on the table. He seemed quite amused that I couldn't figure it out even though he was doing it right under my nose. (I've since learned the secret, but Howard never told me.) I'm not familiar with Mystical 13, and that's not really my kind of card magic, but Howard is a talented guy, for sure.
