In some ways, Unfair Advantage will be a compilation from our series of class notes, The School for Scoundrels Notes on Three-Card Monte, The School for Scoundrels Notes on The Shell Game, and The School for Scoundrels Notes on Fast and Loose.
However, we will be expanding all the notes with more history, new moves, and many top performance routines from magicians around the world. The book Unfair Advantage will be more geared to the magic performer, and to the psychology and presentation of exhibition routines.
The Notes series concentrates on the street conman, and on understanding his goals and techniques and how they apply to magic. The Unfair Advantage book will continue with this emphasis, but will add a lot more of practical advice and routines for exhibition.
When it comes out is the question. We still have to put out the notes and video on the shell game, and then I will begin work on the Unfair Advantage book. We will be soliciting new stuff from all over for this project, and it will take some time. I doubt you will see Unfair Advantage for at least two or three years from now.
