Hi gang...for those of you who have performed on a cruise show, let's say for example a 7 day cruise. Do you do the same act every night? Any input will help. Thanks

Definitely check with your agent/booker. It will depend on whether you are being hired as a guest entertainer or as part of the entertainment staff. For 1 week I usually perform the same show twice in one night and then a split show another night. I highly recommend preparing extra material though as you will often be asked for a little extra.

Got an email from Michael Harrison...

He does the same act but prepares a 2nd shorter act in case he needs it.

Thank you very much...that's a big help.

I am hired as a guest entertainer for just 6 shows... One 20-25 minute show per night. I am told I may need a 2nd act for the weekend cruise because there is a big chance I will have the same audience on the 2nd night. That is of course if they enjoyed the 1st night.

3rd to 6th shows will have different audiences so there won't be a concern to have a 2nd act...but I will prepare extra just in case.

They got in touch with me a few years ago when they were about to open their branch here in Manila but after that call, they never called back. So late last year when I remembered that call, I sent them an email and almost instantly, I got a call from their Entertainment Manager. Since early this year, we have had a few local gigs in their hotel here in Manila. Apparently Star Cruises and Resorts World are managed and operated by the same company.

Had a chance to see his performance in KL.He is indeed very good! He got the audience in stitches.His lips doesn't move one bit!

I still need a lot of work on my lip control and routines... but that show in Kuala Lumpur (KL) was perfect training for me to help me prepare for the cruise shows.

Hi Wanlu
I have done 7 Cruises this year from 7 to 22 day cruises all over the world. that's why I have'nt been on the forums.
I work for the same children so on a 7 day cruise I do 2x45 min magic shows both different and 1 game show (fun House)
A 14 day cruise I have to do 4 different 45 min magic shows and 2 game shows, plus a balloon workshop.
22 day cruise is 4x45 min magic shows different. 2 game shows, 2 workshops and judge the fancy dress.
