Hey everyone I placed an order on devilsticks.org ( http://devilsticks.org ). They were very nice people and emailed me back right away when I had questions. Then once I placed an order on the website I didn't hear anything from them at all and still haven't. It really annoys me because it was a custom order and there goes 40 dollars. If anyone knows anything about them please let me know. I do not suggest them.

I looked at their web site, and they sell those flower sticks which you can buy at almost any toy store. I suggest that you do future business at a reputable juggling prop dealer. BTW the flower stick was a worthless fad much like the fushigi ball hype.

Alright thanks. I just liked the look of the devil sticks and it seem liked there website had a lot of time and thought put into it. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to buy a nice set of devils sticks that can be custom?
Thanks Al Angelo,
Michael

I use flower sticks both in workshops and in shows. I like the Luna Stix, and they can be bought anywhere.
As for custom stuff get in touch with any of the prop manufacturers. I'm Dube could help.

I don't understand what you mean by a custom devil stick? do you mean color, shape, length, weight, or what?

I had a custom furniture maker make me a custom devil stick. Turned by hand on a lathe with a beautiful sounding wood. Then I decorated them myself. That is a custom stick.
I am not a fan of the flower, or as I call them Hippy Sticks. They are too slow and easy. I've had kids try to show me up. With a devil stick that aint gonna happen.
Dube's stick is long and slow but a good stick. I actually like the old juggle bug stick. It's short and fast as all get out. Not sure if they still make them or not.
I don't like the decoration Dube is now doing on all of their sticks. A little humidity and the thing is slick as snot. I prefer the tape wrapped. Gives you a slight edge over the one piece decor. Looks like Renegade is using that stuff too.

There is my two cents on my favorite juggling prop.

Did you ever notice that one of these flower sticks thingy's in the hands of a self taught non juggler only wants to do the propeller move, talk about a one trick pony.

I've noticed that. But before I switched from Devil Sticks to Flower Sticks the only trick the kids in the workshop wanted to learn was the propeller too.
On a slightly different subject, but still talking devil/flower sticks, the reason I switched to flower sticks was that I was booked to do a workshop for a religious school and they didn't want anything devil related.
I've had similar problems with diabolos where people misspell them and assume they have something to do with the devil too.
Anyway, back to the main topic

Thanks everyone soo much!!!! Also Rotten so do you reccomend the devils sticks from renegade juggling I didn't quite understand, but I like there look. Also sorry Al Angelo for not explaining what I ment by "custom" Basically I'm envisioning a routine where combine magic and devils sticks. The main devils stick is only going to need to be slightly modified. I have the rest of the routine figured out just need one very small thing done to the main devils stick. I don't want to say much more because I don't want people to take my idea.
Thanks everyone for the comments,

Post a video of it when you have it done.
You can't go wrong with a Renegade devil stick, and hand sticks.

You can also call them Rhythm Sticks and leave the word devil out. I call mine Iron Maiden or Judas Priest. ;-) I don't do church shows anymore. I used to but I received heat a few times for not preaching. I'm not a preacher. I'm an entertainer. I let the preachers preach. So I just don't do churches.
The kids that do the flower sticks well are amazing but it's mostly variations on the helicopter spin. I did pick up a few tricks from a kid that rocked one.
I believe the renegade stick is a little lighter and shorter than the dube stick which I like BUT I haven't juggled the dube helix and I would think it wouldn't be as slippery with the wrapped cloth tape. I live in Florida so humidity can make props slippery.

Dube has a great warranty. You brake it they will replace it most always. Don't be driving over them though. So it's up to you. Renegade or Dube. You'll get used to either one.
