Very reasonable. In sociology, we call it 'agreement by public expert opinion' -your way it sounds way better. And coloured. Opinions?

BTW: obviously Davit's proposal does not eliminate the need to resolve the problem of googleable reviews. May I respectfully disturb again Mr. Cassidy for his opinion about what to do?

I do agree that the name "Mentally Speaking" is wrong and that the café in general needs a lot of tidying up. It's way too cluttered with titles that do not suggest what they are about. Are we not "Mentally Speaking" right here and/or Inner Thoughts, so how does a new forum for "Mentally Speaking" mean a forum for reviews of Mentalist products?
I also think that it should go in the restricted area. Many times when reading reviews in 'Latest And Greatest' I have been able to read between the lines and understand the full workings of many a new item. And if I can do that, I'm sure many others can as well. It's not that the secret is directly given out, just a case of reading what you can and can't do and how you need to do something with any given item that tips it. That needs to be kept away from the casual reader.

I don't go on the christian areas of the Café. I suggest we have a section for readers, where the christians who object can just stay away. This has been brought up repeatedly and there is considerable support for the idea. As for the topic under discussion, I gave my opinion clearly. I don't give a *** where the reviews are. Keep them here or move them, it doesn't make a difference.

With these two intellectual actions, you give a huge amount of information to the reader, stemming from your own experience (something that often not even in a book can be found). Hmmm.. it can be done, but doesn't it make things, like, messy?

Perhaps it would be simpler to have a basic reviews in the Mental Thoughts forum, with more in-depth analysis and discussion in Inner Thoughts. Not an ideal situation, but perhaps the way forward? There are an awful lot of forums and sub-forums here at the Café though - it can be very confusing at times to navigate around! Luckily I'm psychic, but for normal people it must be quite distracting!

I think that would/should happen normally:
People reviewing in 'Mentally Speaking' who give too much away will like here, to told not to and more in depth discussion would naturally occur in 'Inner Thoughts'. But of course there are always Newbies who don't understand the exposure rules here and then of course a 'sticky' would be more than helpful. So in the end, no real change. Just try and suppress the exposure and attempt to get it moved to 'Inner Thoughts'

But there are nuts on my side too. What we need to do is create a nut-free zone. It works for schools.

And that is why they want a forum. (Like that will stop people who strongly disagree form using the same forum as they have a right to their opinion as well.) There is no forum on here that only allows one sided discussion as this is a place for all opinions and debates. One wonders if they are so desperate to get away from all complaints, maybe a re-look at what they are doing would be better than trying to suppress all voices against them. That or set up their own cult site as this isn't the place for them.

Guys, I have no problems with people disagreeing with me. I do have a problem with people playing the religion card and getting threads locked. It has happened too often. That is why I would like a place for readers. It's not about keeping people out or stiffling discussion. It's about like-minded people having a place to swap information and ideas.
