Joe Versus the Volcano.

I almost walked out on it at the theater because I thought it was so stupid. Then it ran on HBO and I was bored and watched it because I literally couldn't think of anything else to do. Then I watched it a third time. Then I bought the video tape and watched it twenty or thirty more times over the next two months, finding all sorts of rhythms of images and dialog that made me LOVE the movie. I might watch it tonight!

Good Burger starring Kenan and Kel. The videotape is bright orange (Nickelodeon made it.) It's a brilliant movie.

I had the same experience, Stone. Thought it was stupid, then watchable, then a classic. Love it...

But it was Ishtar that started me thinking about the "quiet desperation" thingy... now I am single...

Crazy I was just thinking of starting a topic like this.
The movies I liked that led me to think of it were Terminator:Salvation and Ang Lee's Hulk.
Wouldn't go so far as to say I loved Hulk, but like it, sure.

I throw stuff.

I guess great minds do think alike, critter.

Or fools seldom differ...

(It depends on the time of day for me. )

And I used to love those silly Ernest TV movies (RIP Jim Varney)...

Yep, that was the one I was going to say. Great movie.

I might have also said 'Something Wild' (as Magnus did), but I thought everyone liked that one.

Red Sonja, while not even close to being as good as the first Conan movie, was underappreciated.
It's great as campy costumed 80's action. King Kalidor was basically King Conan. Figures that both were based on REH characters. Speaking of REH, Kull the Conqueror really was as bad as everyone said.
Kevin Sorbo was not the right guy for the job.

Another one I liked that was a critical failure was Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. If you watch it as a comedy, it is a *** good one. "Must be one of them hard shelled peppercorns."
Overall, I must just have awful taste in movies because I constantly give movies 5 stars on Netflix that everyone else is giving a 2.

I thought everybody like Groundhog Day though

I throw stuff.
