I like the looks of this.

Any ideas on where I could buy the correct size confetti for this device?

Yes, I know I could make it... but I would rather purchase it in bulk.

Could I fly with this device if it's in my checked luggage?

Any pros or cons I need to know about?

Looks like a regular confetti shooter using flash cotton and glo-plug (or wire).
I have a similar unit and have air traveled with no problems, but would not take this into my checked luggage, although it might be ok. Remove the batteries when traveling.
Glo plugs should last a reasonable amount of time, the only maintenance would be exchanging the plug. If it uses wire, perhaps more changes will be needed.
This should be no trouble with a well-built unit - it depends how well it is designed.
My unit is connected to a remote control, thus no visible action is seen.
My unit was not made by Tango.

Do you mean you wouldn't have it in your carry-on luggage?

Also, if you recommend your unit, I'd love a link or more info.

Thanks!

Tim, you are right, I meant carry-on luggage.
Having a black canister with burnt-out remains inside, connected to a battery and a switch, in your hand luggage, it might go trough or it may earn you the special TSA treatment. Could be confiscated, but I do not know for a fact.
You have to try it... I never had a problem with it in checked luggage, even flying into the USA.
My unit was built to order by Juan Mayoral in Spain, after Juliana Chen told me her launcher was made by him. Juliana used a foot switch to activate her confetti finale, and this is a lot cheaper than having a remote. Depends on your needs.
I have also built launchers myself, it is not very difficult.
Best,
RR

I would not try to anything that might any type of pyro stuff associated with it through carryon. I got stopped one time just because of residue on the outside of a suitcase from using a finger flasher months before.

I used to make glo plug ignititors all time while I was in college. They are pretty durable.

I'd forego the popping sound when the "cannon" is activated. Is the popping noise necessary to launch the confetti?

Has anyone bought this and can attest to the height the confetti shoots up?

Not sure how that would look with snow storm-type effects. Snow's supposed to come down, not go up, isn't it?

I could not get this to work and sent it back. Big disappointment. Would be a great show ending IF it worked reliably.

This is one of those ads that burn me up. So much magic flies under the radar of what is legal.
This uses flash cotton so could not be as they claim "100% safe" It will be under pressure and produce enough flame that you only want to use confetti that is rated for fire devices. Not likey there is enough flame to catch it on fire but I would not risk it.
