Hi All
Hope everyone is well,
Just a quick question, I have been playing with negative hallucinations and wondered what has been the most powerful negative hallucination people have managed to achieve here on the café…..
I know there are many great hypnotists here on the café and would like to hear your idea’s and experiences.
All the best

I'm pretty sure everyone would agree with invisibility (and that related to it) as being the ultimate test of somnambulistic ability. And I don't know of anyone who hypnotises that's never been able to do it.
BUT, as I'm sure all will agree there are some total complete and absolute hypnotees who quite simply don't DO invisibility. It simply does not enter their belief (or conceivability) system in any way shape or form, so it's impossible.
BUT (again!) many can indeed be trained to 'go there'. So, it's NOT impossible (sorry, cock)!

I have made someone's dog invisible to them - it was still on the lead at the time. They ran around Crystal Palace Park most upset, looking for it asking strangers if they had seen it.
I do not think it has anything to do with belief at all.

I hypnotized a friend while I was driving (terrible idea by the way) and told him the can we were in was invisible, he woke up to one of the most frightening sights he had ever seen...thankfully he was buckled up

I do a part in the show where I have chairs on the stage and seat the spouses of subjects in the chairs. Then tell the subjects that when they wake up there will be empty chairs in front of them on the stage.
"Well you guys didn't know this was a magic show did you? I am going to snap my fingers on the count of 3 and when I do there will be a puff of smoke a ball of flame and your spouse will be sitting in that chair".
Well I do it and bamo they recoil from the heat of the flame, and then their spouse is sitting right in front of them. Sort of starts negative and then it isn't but seems pretty powerful.
These are not all that hard to achieve in a show setting.

Hey everyone,
Even though I'm a full time magician and stage hypnotist in Australia, I've only recently joined Magic Café. This is my first post (cue applause). Yes, I've been a lurker for a little while.
I do negative hallucination in every one of my stage hypnosis shows.
I start with making myself disappear, then I move objects (eg. a chair) and the volunteers believe it's flying on it's own - reactions are fantastic. I also like the negative hallucination where my clothes are invisible and the one where I convince people their bellybuttons are missing.
Wow, the invisible dog one is interesting Anthony! I would've thought other factors such as sound (dog barking), feeling (dog pulling on leash), etc would have made that a particularly difficult one, especially when it's not in a 'show' setting. Impressive!
Magician 336... please never hypnotise (or even shuffle a deck of cards!) while driving.
All the best,
Mike

What if someone has a negative hallucination and you don't wake him up. Will it last forever? How does that work?

Seems there are more and more people here that know nothing about hypnosis, and one or two that I believe are just making stuff up.
