Does anyone know the name of the effect where a 15 ft rope is tied (or held) at two ends of the stage. Then the performer cuts the rope on one end, ties it into a knot then proceeds to slide the knot down to the middle of the rope, where the knot is untied and the two lengths of rope are shown to be of different lengths than before. The performer does this again moving the knot further down the rope. I'm looking for the name, and if you know, a place where I can purchase this trick. I know Jim Steinmeyer has a routine called knot unexpected, but I don't think that's the trick I'm looking for. Any help would be great, Thank you!

There is a junior walking knot, a standard walking knot, and a super walking knot. Only the junior walking knot interfaces well with the crazy knot, and the crazy knot finish which when performed together gives you a great three knot rope routine.

For technical reasons I kinda doubt if they both used the same method.

If we're talking about "Mike Tannen's Sliding & Vanishing Knot", Tarbell Volume 7, page 381, it's definitely NOT the same method! A cute trick, but not in the same class as Pavel's Walking Knot.
