Are you a close-up magician? You may have a chance to perform at the S.A.M. 2012 National convention in Las Vegas!
The S.A.M. will hire six young, talented close-up magicians to perform strolling or street magic as Close-up Stars of Tomorrow at the convention, which takes place July 23-26.
If you are selected to perform close-up magic, you will have at least two opportunities to perform. You will be paid and will receive two convention registrations (one for yourself and one for a parent or guardian), plus a year’s membership in the Society of Young Magicians.
Close-up Stars of Tomorrow is in addition to and separate from the Stars of Tomorrow Stage Show. You may apply to both, but you may perform in only one: stage or close-up. Each venue has its own application form.
You don’t have to belong to the S.Y.M. or S.A.M. to be considered for a Stars of Tomorrow venue, but you must be age seven through 17 at the time of the convention. The deadline for receiving all applications is April 20, 2012.
S.Y.M. Assembly Y096 advisor Arlen Solomon is in charge of Stars of Tomorrow Close-up. National Secretary Marlene Clark produces the Stars of Tomorrow Stage Show.

I performed at the starts of tomorrow centennial in new york- It was a wonderful experience- and I recomend it highly.
