Do you use one? It seems very ingenius to me. I'm not sure if the small holes in the lid and bottom matter or not. What is your opinion?

The Sawa box uses a special gaff that utilizes the hole. so yes it matters.

Yes, the holes matter for the function of the gimmick. I just wonder if they matter from the spectator's perspective.

The Sawa box, like the okito box of the thirties can be used for a coin penatration with a hat pin or in the sawa case, z long finishing nail.
