Not so much for "chops" as for being able to make audiences love them: Matt Schulien and Eddie Fechter.
Another favorite of mine among the "most overlooked" (these days): Clarke "The Senator" Crandall. |

Jerry Sadowitz. The man is a genius. But be warned; the comedy side of his performances is stictly for adults and not for the faint hearted. It's basically a torrent of filth and abuse designed to offend absolutely everyone. He's very fair that way.

Like Butch Cassidy, I agree with The Kid here "For the sake of argument..."
Vinny Marini is also one of those guys that might be overlooked but is a real tinker with cards, and has come up with some amazing things, routines & moves at times. Though perhaps The Godfather is greatly overlooked or not even considered, people appreciate his work from all around the world and most of these guys mentioned here would recognize his brilliance as well if they were to meet up with him and a deck of cards, dead or alive. Not to mention that he's a heckuva coin and closeup man as well.

Such an old thread.. but who cares. I just got to say Roger Crosthwaite Roger Crosthwaite Roger Crosthwaite Roger Crosthwaite Roger Crosthwaite. If you've never seen this man handle a deck of cards then go search him out. He has to be one of the most talented card handlers, but more importantly, the most relaxed, and "at ease" performer.
I used to own the entire set of his Inner Sanctum videos. Whatever happened to the masters... these should be converted to DVD for sure. If anyone has a set I'd love to buy them... |

As Greg Chapman puts out more videos of his work, I think people will be quite impressed.

MG, I think you may have been looking at the short demo video Greg put together for the book Details of Deception. In another thread he explained:
"The part in the clip referenced above is from a section about an exercise I describe which illustrates a detail [bold and italics mine] I discovered during my study of the technique. It's independent of the two main second deals taught in Details of Deception, both already very well- known but I've tried to add a little to their description, for people interested in the move. I hope that gives a little context to the section of the clip you've mentioned. " Greg's work has gotten kudos from Sal Piacente, Steve Ehlers, and JJ Sanvert among others. I would urge you to take a closer look at his work. You might be pleasantly surprised.

I have his books, both are excellent. Fact remains that the videos of his second deal aren't good and he won't convert many new fans with them. His mechanical method for push offs is fundamentally flawed by the hand position, although fine for magic purposes.

Fine for magic purposes?
What else would it be For? Genuinely curious. |

Oh I'm sorry. I thought we were discussing magic.
Thanks Rupert. |

Apologies, I meant the inherent nature of the second deal being a cheating type move meaning Greg won't establish himself as being underrated based on his second dealing alone.
