I have heard about this a couple times, and it could be an interesting way for someone who has a good idea for a new illusion, but doesn't have the money to create it. Mind you, I would suggest you be careful about what details you reveal, so you don't get copy-cats, but it could be an interesting option.

Or, as a way to finance your new show for touring.

I would think of it in terms of financing a show rather than illusion... just my 2 cents...

Looking at it now, that is very true. Now, there could be "new illusion development" as part of a new show, but still doable.
