Hello to all! I wanted to share this latest endeavor with those of you in the "Workshop". An acrylic/aluminum coin box set with matching two-part wand. The bottoms of the boxes have embeded weight so they won't feel like "nothing".

Thanks to all!

Thanks all, very much, for the nice compliments. Well Chance, This one is on its way to the customer who special-ordered it, but, there will be more. I intend to be making a lot of acrylic wands and coin box sets, especially since the right size acrylics are becoming more available in more colors. That's what I've waited for. As much as I like the traditional wood wands, I can't resist the variety of acrylics that blend so well with the metals.
With the silver shavings from aluminum, and, the blue acrylic strings, it looks like we had a Christmas party in the shop with one or more of those party poppers going off!
Will keep you posted Chance...keep playing! I'm an old bassist, and, miss it a lot. All that adventure.

I really appreciate the nice comments...thank you! I was just informed that many new colors are available in the acrylic stock, so, we hope to be able to offer a wider variety in that regard. Feel free to PM or e-mail for questions or other info.
Thanks to all the "posters" here in the Workshop on all the topics for sharing a wealth of information, and, Steve Brooks and associates for providing the forum. My visits here are one of the most enjoyable parts of the day.

Sometimes I think a bit about putting on a Hallmark, but as of yet, haven't done that. I tend to hope people will be able to recognize my items by the way they are made. I enjoy making them and get much satisfaction from seeing and knowing that many fine performers are making good use of them by providing others with much entertainment pleasure.
If there are any wands made like this out there, I am not aware of it. Here is a photo of a wand totally dis-assembled:

This is the same wand re-assembled:

The construction provides for a banded-tip look, or, without a banded tip, and, the option of a shorter, pocket-size wand for walk-around, etc. As for the coin boxes, I've never seen them made with the wood/acrylic embellishments. A neat Hallmark could be made using the initials name, which, are also my initials!
Thanks again so much....Michael
