I see you're an Essex boy (or girl) as well! I ordered mine direct from Richard and as always the book arrived far sooner that anything that comes across the pond.

It has arrived! As most have commented, it is a rather large book. Hope to begin posting my thoughts soon.

Whew! As I dig into it, it seems to get better and better. I especially like the shorter tips, moves and pointers sprinkled throughout the book among the many superb, longer routines. Yep, this is a real Keeper. Thanks, Neal and Richard.

Got mine today! When I got the email saying that Fed-Ex delivered, it took some self control to keep from running home.

I just got this hours ago and first noticed the quote from Uri Geller. This set the tone and I am still reading wonderful things.

It is not sold by Lulu you purchase it direct from Richard c/o Doug Dyments Deceptionary website or from stevens magic website and then Lulu distribute it.
I hope that makes sense.

For anyone who might still be confused, the book can be purchased directly from Richard Webster, with all the proceeds going to the two principal authors, via Richard's private shopping cart at The Deceptionary.

I've just been informed that as of Thursday, May 10th the pre-publication price will no longer be in effect and it will go up to $259.00. So, if you have any inclination on getting this, now would be the time!

What is the typical turn around time that you guys have experienced from time of order from The Deceptionary, to the actual ship and/or receipt date?

I think kudos should be given to Stevens Magic Emporium for the attention to detail that they took in mailing out the books. Each one is wrapped in bubblewrap and then placed into a heavy duty box for shipping. They ordered these boxes just for these books. Stevens ALWAYS gives great service.
I think my book should be in tomorrow. Can't wait to delve into it.

Fast, however orders of Richard Webster Items (vs. Doug Dyment's proprietary books and products) are generally sent via AirMail from Richard in New Zealand.
HOWEVER I Just got an email from Richard saying my package is being shipped from Lulu. Does Lulu ship from the states, and if so, do any of you know their ship time?

Received my book today. I was fortunate and quite humbled to be asked to contribute to this wonderful and vast compilation of bizarre and mental magick.
It's a beautiful book filled with werks from dozens of the top thinkers and Pro's in our field. The team that spent a year putting this book together did a great job.
Thank you!

Got the book today, scanned briefly because we went out to dinner. But, the one thing I read was the "i******e d**k" routine. What a genius idea. It had me thinking all through dinner. I'm going to apply this idea to another effect as well.
Neal's hints on page 91 are gold.
And now to get back to the book.

I also received the book today. I too was honored when I was asked to be a contributor.
Neal and Richard did a fabulous job producing a high quality and classy book. I do not wish to read this 670 page tome too quickly....rather I will savor it like a fine quality wine.....a little sip at a time.
My book was shipped from Stevens Magic Emporium and was carefully and professionally packaged. Thank-you.

I've never been one to read a magic book from cover to cover. I usually read what interests me first, or what hits my eye as I flip through the pages. This book should have been printed larger with wide outside margins to jot down notes. Everything I've read so far has kickstarted other ideas in my head where I have to put the book down so I can grab my notebook and jot down all my ideas before they are forgotten.
I always hear that if you get one thing you can use out of a book then you got your money's worth. If that's so, then Neal Scryer and Friends is a gold mine and I've hit the mother lode.

Sorry to chip in again on this topic, but I just HAVE to share my feelings about this book:
PHENOMENAL!
I'm only at page 162 and my head is already spinning with so many ideas and variations on what is already written. If you have not picked up this book, you are missing a gold mine of information.
I would even suggest that the book be priced for a LOT more than what it is right now.
Just, wow.
Well done 'Mr. Scryer', all of you who've contributed and Mr. Webster. I doth my hat in your general direction.
Right, now back to reading. Carry on.

The above posts are correct. The main value is in the ideas that get you to thinking what you might accomplish with them. Have been taking my time and trying to absorb. Starting and probably finishing the last section today. As you were.

I know my copy is on its way... but, I am now away for 2 weeks. I just can't wait to read this. . . Being in Phuket may ease the pain a little.
So happy to hear such great reviews. As for the price... It will no doubt stay where it is. Scryers work is known for the amount of content he gives for the price... and it would seem he has done it again.
Bang for buck folks!
