Sorry not sure where to post this.
I bought a cheap fire wallet and love the effect but have a few problems.
1 . reliabilty of it? (doesnt always ignite)
2 . Smell of fumes
3 . Lenth of time before refill. ( maybe an hour or two)
Any tips or ideas? or recomendations on new wallets?
thank you

Go get yourself a Theatre fx wallet. Typically 35 bucks, looks legit. I use mine daily. Just finished a gig for 3 hours and have not had to worry about it not lighting. Use Low odor fluid by zippo. I won't have to fill it back up for at least another day.

My wallet is by Toro. I haven't seen the Theatre Effects one but all of the above comments apply to my wallet too. Use Zippo. Stand back a bit and open the wallet as briefly as possible to get the effect you want. The wallet will last longer and you will get no complaints about the smell.
Look in the thread in Latest and Greatest forum pertaining to Richard Sanders Extreme Burn for my fire wallet routine where you apparently accidently burn your bills and then visually restore them.

Looked on Theatre FX's website for their fire wallet and their page was so confusing I couldn't find anything so gave up.

David Lemberg still has them in stock at the original Magic Place. http://www.MagicPlace.us

I see that it says Theatre Magic. I swore it used to be called Theatre FX.

I know David Lemberg always has them stocked. I use it DAILY~! It has helped businesses in my town recognize that I am a magician, and has broken the ice to generate gigs. Every time I pay for something, fire shoots out, it gets a great reaction. Now I know the safety hazards and have used my brain to know when to NOT ignite in public.

I think it depends on what you want to do after lighting the wallet. I don't have the Theatre wallet, so can't comment on it.
I have used the Jardonnet wallet for 7 years. After producing the flame, I go into Extreme Burn. What I like about the Jardonnet wallet is that it stores my Extreme Burn set in a vertical position. I prefer this orientation. This is my everyday wallet.
I must admit that I need to change out the Jardonnet about once a year because the materials aren't that good, and it gets to looking pretty beat up.
Can you store Extreme Burn vertically in the Theatre wallet, or is it the type where you must store it horizontally? Also, can this work as your everyday wallet?
Thanks,
Sammy

You cannot store your Extreme Burn vertically in the Theater Magic wallet. It is a hip style wallet, and can easily be used as your everyday wallet. It looks more like an everyday wallet than any other fire wallet I have used. If you click the link that Brian provided, you will see a demo if it and what it looks like.

I should also note that the company is not called Theater FX, it is called Theater Magic. I could have also sworn that it was called Theater FX.

The video on Theatre Magic website says it's $30.00, but the price below the video is $44.00.
Anyone know which it is?
I might just have to give it a go!
Sammy
Edit: I put one in the shopping cart. Looks like it's $44.00.

Ok I got the fire wallet from Theatre Magic Website yesterday. And what I can say is that this product is amazing! did a "test" and it lasted all day without refilling.
Really good build quality, I use this as my everyday wallet.
Would highly recommend this product.
Thanks for all the advice guys!
RESPECT!

I have owned just about every fire wallet every made and hated all of them! They always dried out too fast or the wouldn't strike on the first try making me stand their and "strike, strike, strike" looking like an idiot.
Aaron Smith turned me onto the Theater FX wallet and I must say that I have found my fire wallet. Very nice to look at, isn't bulky, and works the first time, every time. Thanks Aaron! When I take over the universe, I shall spare your life...

Jan has a good point. I do not have a spectator up with me when I call out the shuffled card. Is there a reason to do so?
I use this crib.
