This link was just posted on the Happie Amp Facebook page today:
http://happieamp.com/ultimatecontrol.html
It's a MP3 player with remote, from Happie Amp, for show use.
I guess it makes sense for Brian to release a music player to accompany the Happie Amp.
Naturally, it can be used with other PA systems.
Note - there are some clarifying questions and answers on the Happie Amp FB page.

The Happie Amp facebook page is a wonderful resource for some excellent (and FREE) marketing tips from Brian. I can't believe some of the ideas he's giving away on this page, they are very practical. I used an idea on getting customers to post an online review, and have gotten 3 reviews in the past week, just by using Brian's tip. Great stuff on there! -Jeff

How do you know its good? It isn't shipping until august... Although, I have to admit that if it works, I will get one immediately! I have been drooling on MP3 player with fade-in/out and remote for a long time but only one I am familiar with is 1300$!

True, at this stage you just have to trust that it's going to be what it claims. But several experts were consulted before developing this device. Judging by the specs, Ultimate Control is going to be a fabulous music remote controller. I believe it's just what entertainers are looking for. Can't go wrong with the price! And Brian's customer service is unmatched.

This looks like a really good portable solution. Virtual Soundman blew their brains out trying to adapt to the constantly changing iPods and the MPTech is great but very expensive and doesn't come with a battery pack. I have been using the Sound Commander with a mini Dell computer and PPZoom RF mouse. It works really well but I would like something a little smaller for smaller shows. Plus this could be a great backup to my other system.
I am tempted to pre-order but that is always so dangerous with technology. I think some people lost money pre-ordering the Virtual Soundman before they went belly-up. I think I'll pay the extra $50 and wait until this thing is out and well reviewed.

I'm not surprised that someone finally had a device made specifically for this purpose. Playing back MP3s is so simple and inexpensive now, it's really just making sure that all the features are in the unit and that the company making it doesn't cheap out on the build.
I'll be interested to see one of these in person.

I lost $1500 with Virtual Soundman and I still pre ordered.
Any dealings I have had with this company have been ultra positive.

Mike,
If you buy the MP3 Tech I'll make you a battery pack for it. I just used my new battery pack last weekend and it worked like a charm.
Take care,

John Martin,
After you put it together you still have doubts it going to work. Then you plug it in and it works, is a great feeling.
You can battery test the 9V Batteries while the are still connected.
I keep a straw over the wire so it does not bend.
Glad it works for you.
Wireless Wizardary wants you to use a heavy camera battery.

I imagine that the first batch of these ("Ultimate Control", by Happie Amp) will be in customer's hands very soon. I'd love to read your thoughts, after you've used it for a few shows.
I'm thinking of getting one before the end of the year.

In the mean time, I've been using Show Cues since the beginning of the summer. It works really well at less than a third of the cost (App and custom remote)

I have a feeling that Brian is going the extra mile to make sure he has a completely developed , fully working product before releasing it. Perhaps he learned from all of the issues people had with Show Cues, that it is best to make sure your product is fully functional before putting it in the hands of the customer.
I am sure when it finally ships it will be well worth the wait.

Nanci, there is no such thing as a completely developed software product. Not even Apple or Microsoft can do that. Software developers do the absolute best they can do in preparing software for the market but there will always be updates and fixes, it is the nature of the business. You can test software all you want but until it gets in the hands of the general public, you will not know of extra issues that may occur or get ideas on how it can be improved. Otherwise software would never be released. We have already put out 2 updates with 31 additional features and improvements while currently working on the next update with at least 20 more. A good software company puts out the best product they can and continues to improve upon it. We have and our customers appreciate it!

Carl,
I, as well as many others who own Show Cues, continue to be very impressed with your customer service and regular updates. I have been a Mac and Apple man since 1986, and the speed of your updates, and your customer service, beats them hands down. I have purchased many software programs and hardware from Microsoft and Apple that have needed major tweaks AFTER they were released.
Thanks for hanging in there and offering your products and service to a very small community. I still can't figure out how it's worth your time!
Looking forward to receiving the new iPad update of Show Cues.
Warm regards,
Lou Leventhal

Thanks Lou, much appreciated! I do it because I love it! I use it myself in large theaters all over the world. It's wonderful to have my sounds run from my iPhone, and easy to use or make changes.
You would not believe how much time I spend on it daily and the over 5000 lines of code I have written, testing etc. Shawn is always talking to the remote manufacturer to get the best performance possible.
Shawn and I want to keep Show Cues as the best music App available and it is all the grateful customers like you who make it worthwhile!

Carl -
You're forgetting that I'm a software developer. I decided to build out my app after giving up on the Show Cues system. Granted... I have a niche product because most folks don't use Mac's, but I used it myself in over 100 shows before making it public. (I'm purposefully not linking to it here because I consider this Brian's thread and I don't want to hijack it).
The point here is that, although no software product is perfect, companies like Apple typically don't rush them out the door before they're ready. Final Cut Pro X and Mobile Me are obvious exceptions, but for the most part they do an excellent job of not releasing products until they're ready.
I'm not interested in resurrecting an old issue (I really don't have time for that). Still, I have to respond because there's a big difference between "oops! we discovered an obscure bug that only 2% of the user base will experience" and "this is a consistent problem every time you hit the fade button".
I think Brian's system is going to be an excellent fit for many people. The point here is that, perhaps, he's learned from the mistakes others have made in the past. Nothing negative was intended towards you or your product.
Best wishes bro!
