Great new issue. Only thing annoying was the sticker indicating that it is time again to pay up. So be it. Great product.

There wasn't a resubscription sticker on mine. If it's up Koz, let me know as I don't want to miss an issue of this incredible value magazine. Great stuff.
The only thing that bored me was the clip of someone doing the magic square during David Regal's reviews. It seemed to go on and on and on..
Imagine what those does to an audience! Maybe it's just me but I hate the magic square with a passion.

Magicians love the magic square. I've seen different people perform it each time inducing the audience into a coma.

You have to see it performed outside of the High School Caféteria.
Joshua Jay perform the Magic Square and thrills audiences with it. Joshua Jay will be featured in Reel magic issue 28, in case you hadn't heard.

I don't go in High School Caféterias as I am Englisha and far too old for that. Despite being as patronising as you are, I in fact run a cabaret theatre show in central London and we always have magicians on. Those that have performed the Magic Square have bored the audience senseless. Maybe you should see the effect in front of a real audience rather than a carefully selected one on a magic DVD?
Sorry, I don't care who performs this but it's one of the most boring things on earth and a demonstration of suduko rather than being magical. Yawn. Take a look outside the back slappy magic club and you'll find an audience of REAL PEOPLE who are out enjoying themselves aren't that keen on following someone repeatedly saying "and it all adds up to 27!!!" in a smug voice.

I have seen the magic square performed live, for non-magi. They LOVED it. It's not what you do, it's who you are. Maybe you saw poor performers doing it in your theater. Consider hiring a professional entertainment director instead of choosing the act yourself?
Harry Lorayne performing the magic square for a REAL audience. They LOVE it ( meaning, they LOVE Harry ).

I don't care if Elvis performed it. I find it incredibly boring. There's no magic. It's maths.

Noooooooooo, it's not "maths". You probably view mentalism done with a deck of cards as "card tricks".
Are you sure you run a cabaret theater?

100% sure. Are you certain you have performed for people other than a back-slappy magic club crowd?
People have different opinions from you. Live with it.
"And add up the top line...and it adds to 73! And the add them up across and it all adds to 73! And add the numbers up diagonally and it all adds to 73!" and on and on.
How is this magical?

If you ever need some music to accompany your magic square "presentation", try this one, it fits:

Anyone else having trouble copying the #27.mov file to PC so they can put it into iTunes and watch it on their iPad? I've tried to copy that file over 3 times now and it get's stuck in the last 2 minutes giving me a data error. This has never happened to me before. Did I just get a bad disk?

I've seen Harry Lorayne perform The Magic Square for laymen many times and have also performed his simple magic square (from The Magic Book) myself. Laymen are really amazed ... not bored.
