WOW, you're a real performer? We don't get many of those on the forums. May we know your website so we an see what you do?

I know, you don't have one because you're too busy performing.

I'm a happy hobbyist that will continue to waste his money, despite your warnings to save me.

Hey everyone! It's that guy we were waiting for to help us because we're not adults here who can make up our minds ourselves. Finally someone can come here to tell us what's what. And put that hack, Paul Harris (who I'm guessing is some teenage Criss Angle wannabe, youtube magician) in his place. Thanks, Freedomboy!

Guy Hollingworth is a brill magician, you won't find anyone here that would question that. You were quite patronising, sorry to say. All sorts of people post here, including some rather well known ones.

You are correct in that the analogy does not extend to the exact mechanics... though step back one level and notice what is similar.

Freedomboy, do you have a copy of this? If not, then why you single out this effect and trying to convice others here that it is not a great effect?

I don't mind a crystal-clear review, but stating this won't be a great trick while you never have it is quite inappropriate. Especially when you said that we're gonna moan and ******* about it later.

For some it might look obvious but we have allowed ourselves to see mechanism of many props and effects. Therefore people will start their wild guess or speculation.

Even I might have some will guesses about this, it still look great and can't wait for the reviews.

There will only be one true test and that is learning it, performing it and getting reactions, good or bad. You may think this looks bad, but the reactions will be great. Or, you might love the looks of this and reactions fall flat.

I think they'll be on the scale the reactions the Haunted Pack gets.

I'm trying to think/view this demo like a layman. The moving parts is really magical. But I can't help thinking that this is the only part of the effect that is magic to the spectator. Unless the parts line up pretty close to perfect before the coverup, the full restore will not be convincing. I don't think laymen will care about covering the card with the envelope as long as it looks restored before that. Most of the issues discussed don't concern me, since a good presentation will make the trick work, but if the parts don't (maybe can't?) line up, then it's not very convincing as a restore - but it is fascinating as an animation. I don't think I can afford buying this, so I can't give it a review, but just based on the demo -trying to see it as a spectator - it has a limited effect.

The pieces line up perfectly! Also for those freaking out about the envelope..its a perfectly justified motion to use the envelope to turn the card over face up and hand it out, then put the fully restored card back into the envelope and go on with another piece of strange!

Justin,

I have no trouble with the envelope. Perhaps a better demo might show the 'line up' then? It didn't look convincing, since the card was covered up by the envelope before the pieces really fit. It was close. I suppose with good timing, you can get away with it. They are lined up of course when it's in one piece, and the spectator may not notice any difference. But for me and how I've seen they way audiences watch so closely, it doesn't quite convince. The moving pieces are awesome, though, and that may be magic enough for some. I'm not trying to pan something I have even bought - just my opinion of the demo. I do think this is a great new idea.

I don't post much, more of a lurker, but I wanted to put my 2 cents in for this one.

I have seen Jesse do this live, in front of me. At the time, I was with a layman friend of mine who witnessed the trick as well.

This looks better in real life then on the demo. And the demo looks pretty freaking good. Everytime I saw it done, the corners of the card perfectly lined up, at least to my eyes. He probably did it about 3 or 4 times for me and my friend, because my friend kept asking to see it again. He had no idea how it was done. And keep in mind, he's been hanging around me for several years and has more knowledge of magical workings then most laypeople. And also, I've been in magic for 17 years now, and it took me until the 3rd time watching (from a "bad" angle, nonetheless) before I figured out what he was doing. And then I started laughing because it's a brilliant methodology and application.

All actions are motivated and it's one of the better pieces of eye candy I've seen in the last few years. And it's very practical for the real world.

I plan on picking one up when it comes out.

Mine arrived today ,it was what I thought it would be and I'm sure most would have a good idea of the workings
I've had a quick play with it and it's pretty straight forward to perform ,it will take a little practice as its a bit fiddly but nothing major.
You recieve two envelopes that you can customise yourself and there's the blank paper for you to right your letter on.
It def does what it says on the tin!

I agree with king2262. Excellent product. I need to practice the routine a bit before I perform it, but I think this one is a winner. Looks terrific in real life, and the s****h at the end is justifiable. Good one, Jesse and Paul.
