Work got really weird and I've moved twice and needless to say that has cause me to fall out of my online community (sorry guys). And now it has gotten even weirder... looks like I am moving to Singapore for a little while. Does anyone know what the magic scene is like there and places I should check out? I am hoping to find a good magic community there to plug into for my extended stay.

Hi Lee,
There are plenty of opportunity for magicians in Singapore, and from what I know, the going rate is pretty good too. The Singapore association of Magicians (SAM) and IBM Singapore holds monthly meeting. I am not a member but know some magicians from both clubs. Google for info about them.

There is a bar in S'pore called Bar84 which I believe has regular closeup performers
If you ever pop over to Penang, Malaysia (Singapore's neighbouring country), do inform, I'l be happy to meet up for drinks

I am never complaining about the price of cards in the US again... a single pack of bikes cost 10 bucks here in Singapore!

I don't know much about the magic community in Singapore, but I do know it is a fantastic place. I hope you enjoy it a lot. I loved being there on business through the years.

There are a few magic shops in Sydney. Heypresto (I think is in the city),,,Taylors magic shop as well, though I think he is quite a ways out from the city itself. Don't live there any more so can't help more than that.
