I am going to do a show at my sisters house tomorrow as we gather for an Easter Celebration.

Our family is all grown up (my nieces and nephews are in their late teens to mid twenties) so I will be doing some more adult like stuff.

I was hopping that some of my Brother-in-laws family would be there because they have young kids and I was going to try out Clyde and possibly even a non-Tenyo trick Little Man (the only non-tenyo I have bought in years) but they are going elsewhere.

For sure I am going to do Water Suspension. I just "discovered" that trick the other night and I love it. It works so well.

I am also thinking of Billscape, Mirage and Super Sponge Rabbit.

I am hoping that everyone has someplace to go tomorrow to celebrate Easter or Passover (I am not sure of the dates) or just visit with friends or family.

Please take at least one or two Tenyos in your pocket to try out on your family and friends. If it does not feel right them keep them in your pocket. That's what I do. I often return with the tricks never coming out of the pocket. It is best not to force it but to take them out in the right situation.

Lets get these tricks to work and concern ourselves less with the value and cost of the tricks. Yes they are valuable, but that is because they are great tricks and meant to be performed, used, shared.

Try it you'll like it.

Happy Easter an Passover

I am having a small Tenyo show this evening for the family. I agree these little treasures pack small and play big.

Have a happy holiday everyone.

Performace went well.

The Water Suspension trick is great. I overfilled it over a bowl an made it real splashy and then I performed it over my sisters head.

I used a Svengali deck and used the reveal using Fantastica. I had the Fantastica next to the deck blanked out and then forced the card. I picked up the Fanastica and made it seem like the 8H appeared. "Here is your card" "No" then I tossed the correct card out of the Fantasica. It looked really good.

Get this, I did Birdwatcher again and it has been flawless. Well we do it, and they are saying my number is wrong, I throw a few more numbers out, and I am still wrong. It turns out my niece had problem using a calculator. Oh Boy. So I do the second part of the routine with the cards in the box. The second time I was wrong again. But wait, my nephew can't use a calculator either. I was right both times.

I used Mr Rabbit. I was sort of walking around with the sponge ball early during our get together. And just as we sat down for dinner I say I want to show you a new puty I have. I then shaped the ball into the Mr. Rabbit. My wife said it looked good.

I did 4D surprise which went really well.

My wife and my idea was to present my niece with a little Easter present of $20. I was supposed to give here the bill after using it with the Mirage. But the Mirage was not working (OK now, I think something is loose). But luckily I had Billscape and that was pretty impressive. My nephew like that. She got that bill.

I did occult board again and I am 100% at using the heart pip for the last prediction. They always say hearts. That is a great trick too.

I brought so others that I did not do. I carried them in a small shopping bad that I threw together 15 min. before we departed.

Yesterday I also performed a few tricks - right out of the shelves without any practice . It was for my sister, grandmother, wife and brother in law, and my sister is someone who immediately pulls a trick out of your hand to inspect it untill she finds the secret - awfull audience but good for practice

Prison Box didn't go as well as expected - they didn't find the gimmick (my sister 'knew' something had to slide and wasn't too impressed because she thought the box looked 'weird') but at the end she wanted to slide the cover over it to inspect again - I had to stop her there of course My sister also told me she saw me do a 'fishy' move under the handkerchief ... .

Floating Carpet went well as an 'illusion'. My brother in law didn't see the effect though, perhaps he has problems with his eyesight I don'n know. Or it was too dark in the room.

Crystal cleaver went as expected - impossible to figure out.

What went extremely well and got the best reactions was 4D-surprise, they loved it! I didn't expect that. I told a story of immigrants and what was the first thing they saw when entering the harbour in New York.

I also performed Industrial Revelation by Jamie D. Grant - they noticed a piece of the cardboard box sticking inside the 'gimmick' and I thought it would blow the trick, but it didn't because the gimmick is very hard to 'set' - PFEW!.
They concluded I had used two coins and I have great sleight of hand skill

Lesson learned about Prison Box: no inspection after the trick (move on to a next one fast), more exercise to do the move under the towel or handkerchief fluently.

Unfortunately, I never found Prison Box to be examinable - my wife found the sneaky part within 2 seconds.

It's always interesting to me how certain tricks fool some people and others figure them out right away. I would have never figured out Crystal Cleaver but my girlfriend figured it out right away! I was shocked because it always fools everyone. She had no idea on impossible pen and invisible zone however.

Sometimes I would like to perform it over my sisters head and have it fail.

With Prison Box I use it as a sucker trick. I make it so obvious that I am turning the box under the silk.

The audience starts giggling and so do I.

And it is amazing and doesn't fail, someone says" yeah now make it go to the middle. And that set's up the jaw dropper.

I usually use a bag and just put the trick away an more on quickly to the next.

Prison box instructions suggest that you do not hand the cover and the box out together. I would not hand out the box because that is the most likey place for it to get broken.

They came with that trick with the pen and lubor's lens ... I forgot the name. But indeed, they are easy available, worth the few bucks.

It doesn't work with the blue Invisible Zone. Too bad ... You never see the orange center of the pen with the lens. Maybe it's because his invisible zone ils Yellow, and has changed the cover I think, I don't know but I have try it and it don't work with Tenyo one:(

In fact I think it's possible if you change the cover, just print on paper a orange line and past it on the center of the inside cover blue cover. Now I think it will work. And it's for that we never see the inside of the cover on his video.

I have add this tips on the blog, thank you killertweety for the info !
