Greetings.

I was contacted by a gentleman who came across an old hand written notebook in an estate sale. Inside the notebook, a magician had recorded all his illusions with step by step instructions for each. It apears to be from 1832. The names listed in the book seem to be a Richard (The last name is difficult to make out) and shows he was from Ireland. Two other names are W. Boscarver and Geo Boscarver from New York.

He ask me if I could help determine any possible information about these magicians.
Being not a historian myself, I was hoping someone here might be interested.

If anyone could help, please let me know.

Thanks!

Can you get a picture of the name Richard? Might be appropriate to ask here:

The Irish name for Richard is Risteard. Richard would be the English translation

Thank you, Spartacus.

He did send me a few photos of the notebook and the name is spelled "Richard" (or at least that's what it appears to be).
Since the notes are all hand written, it's difficult to read. I suppose there are those who are skilled in the art of reading such notes.

Hopefully I can find someone who would be interested in helping this fellow explore the history of the notebook.

I do appreciate your help. I'll forward the website to him.

Have a wonderful day!

Can you post the written notes? Andrew was one of my grandfathers names. Born in Kentucky, and like the rest of the families, coal miners.

Spartacus,

I've attached the first of six images that were sent to me.
I'll attach the other five in subsequent postings.
Andrew is my middle name and I use it as my "stage" name.
Thanks for your interest!

Spartacus,

Sorry...
It appears I'm unable to attach there images as they are all over 1000 KB and the limit here on the Café is 75 KB.
If you would share your email address, I can send them to you.
