A lot of older, and nicely done, illusions there.

I own the Murder Inc one with the daggers thru the head.

Here are pictures of the swords I found.

I must say they are quite perfect.

I was thinking of having them made using a CNC machine, you know like a Tenyo Elite line of props (rather than redoing the entire trick) but these are so much nicer and they have a Toledo stamp on them.

That is one of my Tenyo Tens that I made to use with Midas Machine.

I got two different styles and you can also take off a part and make a third sword (middle).

I've just searched Ebay (http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l2736&_nkw=miniature+swords) - some nice ones out there. I like the coctail swords, but shipping is very high ... . I'm sure you can find some in toystores too. I'm going to look for them, they can't be too hard to find.

Tenyo Elite was planning to produce a high end version of soft coins (I have seen the prototype), these swords would be great with that.

Good for very close up but appear short and thin may be hard to see from a distance unlike nice lathe turned & stained hardwood skewer or the usual pencil but they are very cool looking to be sure.

What does the finish look like on it?
Anodized Aluminum?
Concerned about moving parts, resets, ect, showing signs of wear shortly after using.
Maybe powder coat is more durable?
What is it?

I think pencils are actually better because they are familiar objects. Since the plastic whatzit that the coins go into is like nothing ever seen before from a layman's point of view, the second prop should be a familiar one. Hence, in my opinion pencils are a better choice. Also, because of inverse logic, the laymen is more likely to suspect the item penetrating the coin rather than the case. This way at least some of the heat is on the pencils (normal). The little swords are not "normal."

Ach ... an Elite version of Soft Coins ... . This has been copied so much (even in magic sets like the ones from Marvin's Magic) that most know it who have been in contact with magic, even if it is/was only a litle. Nice for the collector though ... . They should make Ultratube and ask 400 USD for it, which would be a steal if you ask me (and production costs wouldn't be THAT high I think)

There are so many better effects they could make (Tenyo company has to approve of course) ... ah well, this has been discussed before.

Especially when you see for how much the regular T-version is going for on Ebay!
