The only chande I had is if they found it while cleaning the restaurant after closing. I described it to all the staff and said there was a cash reward and a big kiss. No call yet. Maybe I should have said cash reward and I'll buy you a beer.

Hi
Would your homeowner insurance cover this?

Just to be sure, did you check that the shell did not get stuck on one of the coins and in your desperation you missed it...

Yeah, it's not there. My routine ends with me ditching it in my pocket and the coins are in a spectator's hand. When I went for the shell 10 minutes later, gone.

That really sucks big time, it was stolen by a spec most likely.

That is the worst. So sorry to hear it. Recently I have misplaced/maybe lost a WL coin, and a silver quarter/brass c/s coin with matching coins. The shell is much worse though. Best of luck.

Then you might be better off buying cheaper versions for regular use and keep the nicer stuff as collectible.

I've spent a couple Scotch and Soda's in my life but never a shell.
Somebody out there has your shell and they're probably going to throw it away because it's "defective".

Speaking of spending Scotch and Sodas. I was living in Boise, Idaho years ago and was fairly new to magic. Scotch and Soda was one of my only tricks.
Anyway the Boise newspaper (Idaho Statesman?) had a big article one day about a woman who was doing laundry at a laundromat and there was a 50 cent piece in her laundry that fell apart in the dryer. The article went on and on about how American coins are made out of Mexican coins.
I'm sure any magicians in Idaho at the time got a big kick out of that one.

Reallly? That's hilarious. I wonder if that article exists somewhere still.

Great idea! That's why they have Johnson Coins. They might not be the best but are pretty darn good for what you use them for. Not expensive stuff so if you happen to lose track of it, you won't feel like you just lost your kid at the mall, or something like that.
Hope you still get it back Pep.
