Hi everyone, I've been a lurker here for a while and decided to take the plunge and I'm glad I did!
A little bit about me; I loved magic as a child and had a few basic effects but was disheartened by some drunken neighbours that heckled me
Anyway I got back into magic last year mainly after showing my neice and nephew a few little tricks. Suddenly I was back into it and loving the buzz of amazing someone even young children. That is actually where the username came from, my name is Liam but my nephew called me Niam and later became MagicNium after a little show I put on at Christmas which blew their little minds (even though I wasn't very good )
I've moved onto close up and card magic since then showing a few tricks at work and when I'm in a bar. I joined to learn tips on handling and generally just to become part of your community and the advantages that come with it
I've bored you enough, so thanks and see you soon

Welcome and have fun! I to was discouraged many years ago(10) but have since gotten back into it all full swing. Once I am fully healed from a recent injury I plan on jumping into the table-hopping and birthday show business for full-time employment.

That's how I got back into magic. I showed some kids a simple trick and the bug bite me!
Welcome!

Welcome Magicnium,
You are brave to perform in a Bar after your early experience with the neighbors. Way to face your fears.
A Magicnium sounds like a Theatre for Magic with a display of Magic in the Lobby. Like a mix between The Orpheum and a Museum for Magic.

It's a shame that insensitive folks--drunk or not--would crush a kid's enthusiasm! I'm glad you have chosen to take back that part of your childhood.
