Hi all:
Referring to the link below, does anyone know where can one learn the Penetrating pins, pin through cloth and sugar cube effect which Eric has presented?
Thank you!

It's mainly Jerry Andrus' linking pins routine...Also his idea with the pin through silk

Actually the Andrus pins could not be freely handed out as they were in the video.
The first "link" is similar to Dan Garret's pin work. (Should come up in a Google search)
The part with the cloth napkin is "as old as the hills" as they say. It was a staple of most beginners magic books in the '50's and '60's
I know it is printed in Adams 101 Magic Tricks, Scarnes Book Of Magic (1951) and many many other books. The bit with the sugar cube is also very old.
It too may be in the Scarne Book of Magic.
What is impressive about this and most of Eric Meads work, is how he makes these simple, overlooked tricks play like absolute miracles.
I have no idea when he secretly "marked" all of the other spectators, but that part was brilliant!

Wow, this looked so good, yet, other than Dan Garret's Pin Demonium, I had passed over these as kid's tricks. Just shows to go ya.
Pin Demonium is in Close-Up Connivery
Ripping the pin across the cloth is in many places, even Tarbell Vol 3
To pull the pin completely free of the cloth, see Einhorn's 200 easy-to-Learn Magical Illusions...
The transferring of the mark (to ONE spectator) is a version of Voodoo Ashes (?). The use of the sugar cube is probably in Tarbell, but I'm not sure.
And as Patrick commented, I don't know when the mark was put on the others; there was some handling that was not part of the video clip.

I might add that the "tearing" effect takes some practice. I just tried this, and found the need to follow up my tearing with a torn and restore effect
