I just don't know where to post this so I am posting this here. The Late and and very great Magician/Movie Star, Bill Bixby, is seen in this clip as a young actor -- playing the part of a spoiled 19 year old that grows up fast when he finally learns to take responsibilities for his actions.
...on the Andy Griffith Show.
No, he is not performing Magic Tricks... but I am guessing, many of you will enjoy this clip just the same:

Looks like the video is no longer available due to copyright claim by CBS.
Unfortunately Andy Griffith is now part of the late and great club as well:(

You are right Magic Hart. Seems they pulled the clip off form all of YouTube. Guess I landed on it just prior to its removal.
The only related image that I can find to share is this photo image from this second season episode 15 in which Bill Bixby appeared. Hopefully you will be able to enlarge this image by zooming in:

Bixby, of course is on the left, then Knotts, then Andy's back is towards us, with the town drunk (Otis?) coming out of his cell where he is given a bed for the night whenever he wants, to "sleep it off". Knotts and Griffith are dressed in their sSunday best as they are headed out to church, and "spoiled" young Bixby cannot believe the unprofessionalism of this jailhouse, nor the tow "clowns" that run it! lol Of course, by the end of the clip, city slicker Bixby comes to appreciate the Sheriff's and the town's gentle, slower rhythm and the kindness the Sheriff shows unto others.
Of course even though one picture is worth a thousand words, seeing this film was worth a million... actually, it was priceless. Perhaps CBC or Bixby's official site will post it one day.
