Hi all
I was shown a great new effect called jumpINK that I thought was visually stunning, it looks like Exile but done on chewing gum!
http://www.mystiquefactory.com/collections/tricks/products/jumpink-by-rizki-nanda
The method was shared with me, and this is right up my street. The method is simple, all levels of magician will be able to perform this which is what makes this such a great effect.
The thinking behind this is brilliant, to visually move a marking from one peice of gum to another the way you see it in the teaser for the spectator is stunning. The final phase with the last peice of gum, it can be fully examined.
This is a great peice of visual commercial magic.
Well done Rizki, keep up the good work.
All the best
R

It would be a nice variation to perhaps draw some o and x to look like Tic Tac Toe game but notice that the x is in the wrong place to win and then it moves for a winning game.

This looks insane. Well done, guys!
And yes, magicinsight, the tic-tac-toe idea is very cool. I wonder how feasible it is with this...

We also thought about the tic-tac-toe game, but we found, that the two row packaged (2x5) gum is more common than the 3x3 variation. We have other variations on the DVD though
Cheers!

Combine this effect with the effects on Sticky by Kevin Schaller & Oliver Smith and you can have crazy magical routine all using a pack of gum. Organic and commercial from the videos they look like workers! Awesome stuff. You can find out more about Sticky right here on the L&G forum.

I think it looks great and fun. Perhaps a bit overpriced. I was surprised to see it went for almost $30. The price made it a 'pass' for me, but I'm sure it won't for others. Good luck, it looks like a great effect!

This looks much like rich marotta's "on the spot". Done on gum packaging. Or is it just me?

This reminds me of Black Hole By Mathieu Bich or at least how it would be accomplished. Not fishing either- just expressing my opinion after watching the demo.

Blister packaged gum is rare in my country, can we use any other blister package? like medication pills/tablets?
Thanks.

Jeff,
We didn't try JumpINK with medication pills, but I'm guessing, as long as it is blister packaged, it would work. We did try many types of gum, with different sizes of gum, packaging etc. and after adjusting the gimmick accordingly, it worked fine with all of them.
Cheers!

I meant...no fishing here, as in me. I was letting you know that since you had mentioned. I posted later to clarify my post as you did.... My post prior was" just my observation"!

That is right, and besides that, it's quite a worker. I just put the gimmick in my pocket, forget about it, then when I see a pack of gum, perform it casually. Nice, organic stuff. And it is not a card trick
Cheers!

I'm hearing the same intense violin sting like that of a suspense thriller movie at the peak performance. The plot futher thickens. Anxiously awaiting the first of many reviews.
To be continued...
