I have a 3 card monte routine that other than a normal deck requires a couple extra non gaffed cards to perform. its a nice lengthy routine that has fooled many magicians as well as "hardcore" spectators. I would like to market the routine but am unsure how to go about it. do I sell it on my own with cards, demo dvd, written instructions... or is there someone I can sell the "rights" to for a lump sum and go about my happy way. I am proud of the routine, it is something I could imagine Daryl performing. I would love to share it with the magic community rather than keep it locked up in my litte corner of eastern Ohio. (and I wanna be famous ;-) )Does anyone have some sound advice as to where to start? my email is magictrucker007@yahoo.com the email on my profile is no longer valid and I cant seem to be able to change it.

There is not one right way to go about it. It all depends on what you want. Selling the rights is one option but you would need to find a buyer who shares your enthusiasm about your routine. Selling the props with an instruction booklet or DVD is another option but requires upfront investment to manufacture it. Writing down everything and selling it as ebook is yet another way to go. You should also think about if you want to do the selling or if you rather work with an established retailer. Each one of these paths can be successful.

That's a nice piece of advice, Chris. They should make it as sticky topic.
