Hi All, like a few of the other new guys I have ventured from the lurkers to a member tonight. Already I have found some invaluable advice, for which I am most grateful. I am a relative newbie to taking this more seriously, although my interest has grown significantly in the last five years, since taking some classes and joining a society. I am getting the technique, but am now working on performance and trying to diversify from card magic. What I have learnt so far is practice, be confident in what you can do and don't get hung up on what you can't do, keep it simple and gradually build it up and practice some more. Any tips on how to develop a good set around close up would other than cards always appreciated. I'm currently reading Strong Magic. So hi to all from the UK and look forward to "chatting" with you

Welcome Derek O,

I get a lot of mileage from Rubber band and $ bill Magic. Ring and Rope or Ring and String can add variety as well. I don't want to give specific names in this thread but search the "Table Hopper and Party Strollers" forum.
