I will be presenting my Sideshow of the ***ed act at Times Scare in NYC. There, on the stage that used to be the Big Top Lounge at the infamous Show World Center, I will be doing what I do May 15 thru 20. Showtimes are 9pm on the 15, 16, 17 and 8pm on the 18, 19 and 20. Come witness fire eating, sword swallowing, glass eating, the cursed hypno-disc, the Flying Ebola Bros., the sad plight of Olga Hess, the enignmatic Pythonia and the Human Blockhead act. It will be a 70 minute show that includes a few pieces from my Carnival Knowledge show and a couple of things that are new. Plus, a naughty nurse! All this and more nightly at Time Scare. http://www.timesscarenyc.com/index.html

It would be way hotter if the naughty nurse were a dwarf. Anyone? Anyone?

A couple of things. First, the Naughty Nurse is part of a bit I wrote, but never used, for the 1993 TV concert event Raising Hell with Iron Maiden and Simon Drake. Second, Curator why use the qualifiers "Evil" and "Creepy" in regard to a dwarf and magician? Those adjectives are redundant. And finally, Critter, the gig pays well enough to afford a dwarf or a naughty nurse, but not a dwarf naughty nurse. Put those two things together and you have to shell out major geetus. Believe me, I know. And the young lady playing my naughty nurse was last seen with me onstage in Play Dead. I pulled her bloody, naked and dead body out of the gaping chest wound of an unsuspecting audience member (you had to be there.)

Why?...Because they sell tickets, need there be another reason?...
Perhaps in the Art world things are over anylised...

Curator,
I do understand about using repetitive redundancies to help paint word pictures in the minds of the marks. There are a lot of people out on that midway with your money in their pockets and that must be remedied, and if making them think that what they thought they were thinking is not what they think they thought, in case they weren't paying attention, by using those reiterational interations, then bat away. It was the using the unnecessarily obvious "evil" and "creepy" in communicating with your breathren here that got me waxing quizzically. Ya dig?

Todd
I first was exposed to the words "Evil Dwarf" from a Elephant Man (Bruce Moir)that worked for me, who went by the nickname of "Porkchop"...He was from Hermosa Beach California and was quite intelligent..being that his Father was a Aerospace Engineer, His Mother a Author...His Downfall, Like mine, was a Love for Elephants, Oh did I mention He loved Vodka also?...Anyhow, many times while playing 1 nighters on the "Rodeo Red" (Circus) circuit Myself and Mark Pierson would go work last show Elephant Act, the Blow-off Elephant Ride and water and feed and bed down the Elephants so Porkchop could BBQ us Dinner..By the time We sat down to Eat, Porkchop would be 3 sheets to the wind, yet Our steaks were cooked to perfection...While Mark and I ate, Porkchop would serenade us and the Elephants w/ old Irish Folk tunes (He played a fair Guitar) and always mentioned how He wanted to save his money to buy a Achondroplasia Dwarf, but not a friendly one, But a Evil Dwarf!, I always remembered that. About 2006 I received a phone call from Porkchop's Brother informing me that Bruce had passed...That winter while having Jim Hand paint Boswell style "Help wanted" sandwich boards, I had Jim Hand put in "Evil Dwarf" in memory of Porkchop...during the season 'Evil Dwarf" created so much interest a few years later I came up with a attraction and had Bobby Rawls paint the Snow White Evil Dwarf Banner...It has been copied by the likes of John Strong, Jimmy Dixon and others...It is still powerful on the BCS to this day also...It is quite possible that "Evil Dwarf" was used before in the past 100 years, If so, I never had heard of it, or read of it, I, like I mentioned before, learned it from a Alcoholic Irish Folk singing A#1 cook and Elephantman who went by the moniker Porkchop, May he rest in Peace...TRUE STORY..
Ya Dig??

Michael,
The woman that played Eusapia in Play Dead is 70 years old. I think you mean the young lady that played Margery. At least I hope you meant that.
Critter, I like Bridget, but the woman I am using will be a bit more up for the role.

That'll work. Checked out the Heart Attack Grill last time I was in Vegas. They got some nurses there.
Although, I've also worked in nursing homes and real nurses are much less appealing than your girl or the ones at the burger joint.
Nuns, on the other hand...
I throw stuff.

I meant Eusapia too. It is supposed to be at Times 'Scare.' That would make a great experiment if she was the blade box girl. Would it stop people from coming up? Encourage them since she can't possibly bend with arthritis and osteoporosis.

My life changed during on of the first tech rehearsals of Play Dead in Vegas, when Eusapia came from the darkness, completely naked and choked me. What I can't figure out is if I'm better or worse off for it.
