Kyra Collins comes to him because she wants him to save her sister from her own fate. The box containing Kyra's VHS tape is trimmed in red and has a red-lined interior. ,spooky the colour red is used a lot in the film also ,as it dipicts the living and the dead.

Pardon my denseness, but could you kindly explain what you're talking about. . .

Off topic: Gothic magic, love the picture.
On topic: can somebody recommend some movies that aren't to bloody? Something like the sixth sense and sleepy hollow. Freightening and full of suspense, but good movies to watch. Not like Saw.
I want to watch more thrillers that are good quality movies, because I actually dislike the genre, because there are to much slashers. I loved the hannibal lecter series (except hannibal rising) and I loved from hell.

Ghost genre:
The Others, White Noise,Session 9, The Ring, paranormal activity, Grave Dancers (although I don't remember if) it's bloody or not),Devils Backbone, the orphanage
Spooked (documentary about Waverly institute in Ky) and Children of the Grave (doc about Ghost Children) both by the Booth Brothers
Thanks for the comment

Also watch the 1963 black and white version of The Haunting if you get a chance.
Scary and suspenseful, with no CGI ghosts (urgh!!!) which appeared in the remake.
The movie leaves it up to your own imagination to work out what the entity is.
Cheers

Hey Vlad
Yes, I've been waiting for years for The Uninvited (1944) to come out on dvd.
Another great classic.
The Changeling (starring George C Scott) is also another good one for revenge beyond the grave.
Cheers

There's a great older movie titled Ghost Story with Fred Astair and another good one is
The Ninth Gate* with Johnny Depp* great for weaving a story with Darkspell. The original Wolfman has that awesome
Gypsy scene and The Fog always inspires me to spend endless hours on
Youtube watching "real ghosts caught on camera" videos into the night
I still love the atmosphere of the Tobe Hooper version of Salem's lot (1977). That movie scared the crap
out of me when I was a kid and still does. With all the "antique" props I'll bet something could be done with that one.

Watched recently "Dream House" (Daniel Craig) its a suspense/ghost story and similar to "The Sixth sense" you won't see the twist coming.

Watched "Dream House" on DVD, think it was made last year, stars Rachel Weisz & Noami Watts as well as Daniel Craig. Wouldn't say it was particularly scary but great suspense & twist to the story. Hope that helps, must agree that one of the best ghosts films in my humble opinion is "The Changeling".

Some great films there, excellent choice, now here is a strange one
I watched The Dead Zone again last night and what a coincidence that Christopher Walken mentions Sleepy Hollow in one scene, and goes on to star in the very same film many many, years later.
