Any laws for busking in Houston Texas?

I researched this a while back and saw on their "gov" page that you need a permit.
I have family out there I want to visit and figure I work while I am down there.
Let me know if you find anything else.
As they say, "better to ask for forgiveness than permission...".

Thanks. I live in St. Louis and in St. Louis you also need a permit. However even with the permit the cops had me pack up and move on everywhere I have tried to busk in the city.
Just a few thoughts and opinion.

And you could get someone there to ask the buskers on the street what the rules are.

I was just out in Houston and spoke to Bill about possible pitches. He said the only place you're allowed to busk is loaded with homeless folks. Not a great area. FYI...!
