Hi Folks,
I'm brand new - both here and to the hobby. I've caught the magic bug, and since I live in a rural location (a village in Devon, UK) without a local magic shop or magic community, I thought it best to at least get some online support.
I hope with the encouragement of people here I might continue to develop my new found interest in magic and illusion.
Here's to the artistry of trickery and good entertainment!

Thanks for the welcome As to what magic I've started with, I guess I'm so new that I really haven't decided on any focus. I'm currently working on/ with a few self- working card tricks, a couple of flourishes, some simple coin sleights and a variety of easy "look at what I can do" household tricks. I've been having fun with tricks on the birthday- party magician website; the Oz Pearlman free DVD from Penguin Magic, and I've just ordered The Dummies Guide to Magic and The Amatuer Magician. Many fun hours ahead!
