Does anyone know if the EMC can be viewed on an iPad or is it PC compatible only?

It can definitely be viewed on IPAD

Psmagic, the EMC can also be viewed on IPAD and MAC.

I wasn't able to view the test broadcast for EMC since I was working but after that I tested it from my ipad and requires flash player.
So I don't think EMC 2012 will be available on the iPad.
Is this true or I'm missing something?

During the test they specifiacly said you could use an I-pad. It may be worth going through thier Q and A or asking on thier facebook/twitter feed

Last year they had the feed detect if one were using iPad and provide a different streaming option. I assume that worked, I believe there were a number of people using that. So I would guess that will be available this year as well.
Unfortunately Android-based pads got the same feed as iPad last year, which did not work out. Hopefully that will work better this year.

First day ended more than an hour ago and it was sweet. Some minor technical difficulties but 2 out of the 3 sessions from today are already posted as on-demand. I'll have to review with pencil and notebook first thing in the morning but initially Eric Mead's opening was good, Denis Behr was strong and injected a breath of fresh air with his thinking and creative process. Bill Malone was hysterical and Marco Tempest is moving in directions most don't think about.
There's still time to sign up and even if you don't see all the sessions live, they'll be online shortly plus you'll get them as an 8-DVD set in the next month or two. Best bargin in magic in my opinion.

EMC was great!
I sure hope it was not the last one.
For me the highlite of the three days was Tina Lenert.
Beautiful, graceful, and with amazing music she performed magic with silks and rings.

This was my second EMC and I loved it just as much as last year (and I'm working my way through the dvd's of the first year). It was a shame the live feed for Derren and Teller didn't work out, but they were just bonuss anyway. As with last year I felt the first session justified the cost by itself. Eagily awaiting my Al Koran book now

The EMC was amazing this year. Looks like they are planning Phase 2, so I assume it's on next year! I hope...

I strongly doubt phase two will be the same thing. I'd guess it'd be a new version of the conference of perhaps some other endeavor leveraging the existing community of speakers and attendees.

In past years, how much time passed for the production (and sending) of the DVD? I can't wait for the special content...(Teller and Derren brown special complete interview, and Maven effect explanation)

The first year the DVD mailing was a train wreck. People didn't get it until the following Spring. Last year was a lot quicker. I can't remember the exact date, but I think it was in October or November at the latest.

For me the highlight of this year, as last year, was Gaetan Bloom. Hilarious routining and extremely strong magic. Tina was great and I thought David Williamson's talk was very moving. But these are just the tip of another "epic" year with any one of the speakers making the cost of fee worthwhile.
I missed some of the sessions due to my own gigs, and some of the videos don't want to play yet. But with 2000+ people all wanting to watch and rewatch them I'm really not that surprised the EMC servers are feeling tired.
For me this was my 3rd EMC and the whole has just gone from strength to strength.
I'm hoping that EMC Phase 2 won't take too long to come to fruition. And if they're looking for volunteers to help behind the scenes in any way I'd be more than happy to volunteer my services.
