David Kaye has put together a new set headless silks that I think is perfect for the summer reading programs. With this summers library theme being Dream Big in most of the states I think this is going to play very well. I got my set today and working it out now for my library shows starting in 3 weeks.
David is not releasing it until next month but he is selling it to performers who need it for the summer library shows.
Take a look, I think you will like it1

Looks good. It's a shame it's being released half-way through the summer library program season. But, of course, the effect can be used outside the context of the Dream Big theme.

Well that is why is releasing now to those who want to use it for the library season. I don't think his DVD will be complete but the silks are ready.

This is finally a set of headless silks with a purpose.
A great opening, middle, closing, and it it is a stage filler - you couldn't ask for more.
Well done David Kaye, and even better, you are actually making it available to everyone.

I saw that routine when David did it and he had to stop half way through to wait for the laughter to die down. The crazy thing is that there were VERY few kids in the audience. It was the adults that were breaking up. David's been on a creative streak lately and he's got a real winner here.

I saw David's trailer and purchased a set right away.

This has got to be the best headless silk routine ever created and one of the first kid's tricks I have been excited about in a long, long time. My version of the routine is already fully formed in my mind and I can't wait to get my hands on these silks!
I was lucky enough to see David perform an early version of this effect over two years ago. I was impressed then, but I am amazed at how incredible this latest version looks. Kudos to David for taking the time to work this and turn it into something so special.

I've ordered this for my Summer Reading shows as well. Fortunately mine don't start until the middle of June so I'll have it in plenty of time for those programs.
I love the fact that Silly Billy made them rectangular instead of square which frames the pictures better and makes it easier for the kids to hold.
I'm really looking forward to putting this in my show.

What I like the most is that this routine is that the plot gives justification for the headless silks, normally used as a gag, and the room for adlibs and comments is awesome , because will no affect the storyline and you can adjust it to your style. packs hyper flat and plays HUGE!
here is a description and the video:

I am anxious to get it!

David Kaye has outdone himself with this. The silks are of the greatest quality and the routine is pure genius. Can't wait to use them in my kids show.

Ken, Very Nice, well done routine. Is that you own music or do the Sound Effects come with the silks?

After seeing Ken's Routine I just had to buy this. The Best Headless Silks I have ever seen and as stated above with a PURPOSE. I really enjoyed both Ken and Silly Billy's Routines.

This is an awesome set. And, beyond the routine given (which is GREAT) they are useable for an infinite number of stories that involve a princess. They are so well made. And they are rectangular instead of square, which makes them easier for the kids (or you) to hold, and look SO much nicer. Bravo!

The silks were amazing, but I was AT LEAST as impressed with Ken's backdrop and sound system. That looked like a great show!

Ken - Thanks for showing us how its done! Your backdrop is jaw droping and must make the libraries feel so special. Your music cues really added a whole lot to the presentation and made it very entertaining. While the trick itself is well made and looks cute, I personally could take or leave it. Ken - if you produce a DVD on library shows that includes the hows and whys of what I saw in this video segment, I know who your first customer will be.

I received my set today and they look AWESOME. I cannot wait to use them. I was disappointed that the Change Bag is not ready yet as it is behing in making. David emailed me and said it would be going out soon along with the DVD's. Any change bag can be used but I am looking forward to a New Style. I cannot wait, such a good product and it will be used on Wednesday as I have already worked up my routine. My next door neighbor kids loved the routine except the boys when they thought they might have to kiss a girl.

Thanks for your nice comments. David Kaye has made a real knock out with these silks. I will have a new library DVD out in August. It will be released at Kidabra conference in August. The new DVD will be my full show, then I will take you behind the scenes. Also I have been doing interviews with librarians and talking to them about what they are looking for in performers for the summer. This has been real eye opening for me in their answers. Stay tuned.
