Hey guys,
With the release of my new DVD next week I wanted to share with you my version of the coin-thru glass effect I call Drop'N.
My friend Jeff Kaylor shot, edited and produced this, my first DVD and I'm VERY happy with the results. I also included some card magic ( a couple packet effects and my load for Card Under Glass) as well as some advice I give. Just wanted to see what your thoughts were. Thanks.

The penetration rocks. I'll take two.
The card under glass method is just crazy enough to work, which is my favorite kind of crazy.

One question on the coin thru glass.
do you have to perform this with long sleeves?

My god, does it come with a gimmick or is it gimmickless?

It depends...if you want the trick to work then yes : ) I suppose you could modify it to where you didn't though.

Vin,
I'm curious to hear why you say that. Is it due to the fact we chose to shoot without live performances? And by "edits" are you referring to the transitions between each clip? Just curious. Thank you for your time.

Curtis,
Thanks for the reply. Nice pun there ; ) haha.
Ya know, that card move was something that was conceived about 4am at a Waffle House lol. But when I started doing it a few times it got more and more reactions. I showed it to Doc Eason once while he was visiting here in Orlando and both he and Giovanni thought it was bold but understood that it was possible. The entire reason I put that move out is because the hands do not go anywhere near the drink and yet it accomplishes the move needed.

Knacky as in if I am correct in how it works it might be hard to hit every time for someone of my skill level. I can hit my French Drop and my ROV every time but I can't hit David Roth's pop-out production with any consistency.

I understand. I'll openly admit that everyone probably won't learn this on the first try but it isn't as hard as some think. In fact, I remember at a convention once showing someone and within an hour he had the vanish down.
As with any routine in this craft success comes with practice and rehearsing. It reminds me of when the customer comes into a magic shop, buys the trick and then comes back and says "I can't do it." After asking if they read the directions they reply, "uhhh....no.".
I make it a point to go step by step through the learning process and break down the moves. In fact, this might not be the trick suitable for your style or skill level. But, I do have 2 other beginner level routines on here as well. Hopefully you'll give it a shot. I think you might be pleasantly surprised ; )

It doesn't seem difficult at all and with practice, one should be able to do this well enough iIMHO. But I understand that mileage may vary. C'mon people, you can do it.

Guys, I've seen Mike's magic up close and personal. One word summary...., AWESOME!!! All of it will work, and looks great. The card under glass really caught me off guard the first time I witnessed it. I had a 'palm to face' moment after Mike showed me what was going on. It's bold..., and I love it! Bold is my style, and I really like that about Mike's magic. I'll be grabbing a copy of the DVD from you soon Mike. Still take paypal right?

Hey man! Absolutely. PM me for more ordering info.
Ya know...it's funny because when I would show the Card Under Glass to magicians they all had the same reaction..."yeah...looks good" and they would just look at me like it was nothing. They just thought I snuck it underneath on an offbeat....then I would tip it and THAT'S when they would react! Haha...too funny of a moment when the method gets WAY stronger reaction then the effect itself : )
