Been working some street shows recently and have found Andy Nyman's Big Reaction to be the perfect opener and crowd builder.
In the past I just asked the beginnings of a circle crowd to scream, shout and go crazy without showing them anything. But with Big Reaction I've found you get them to do just that and you show them a trick. The other advantage is within the routine you get audience participation without having to drag people up on stage. Not only that but the species are made to interact with eachother.
Anyone else tried this effect as an opener to a street show?
What other opening effects have you used?
