In one of the magic books I once read it mentioned how I think Malani used to bite the button off peoples shirts and then spit it back on. Could this be a modernized version because I have always wondered how this could be done? http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=endscreen&v=5n68mK-oW70

Malini's button biting trick is explained in detail in 'Malini and His Magic' by Dai Vernon (edited by Lewis Ganson) and it is a great lesson in simplicity. I'm sure some people would be disappointed to read the method but in 1922, Malini did this trick to President Harding's jacket and the next day all the Washington papers ran front page stories about the incident.

Glad I remembered the right magician, thought it was a president. Think I read about it in David Blaines book. Thanks for the reference scott0819! Will half to add that book to my list.
