Here's the trick Tenyo Special 1997 Four Chance Game in wooden improved version.
This trick almost impossible to find nowadays because only available for the Japanese is one of the "Tenyo" trick who has the most success when I present my collection to my friends and I made their magic tricks
each time it is this magic that most interests my guests, may be due to its design, which recall the casino, or perhaps because it is a trick where the spectator becomes the actor to try to win the $ 1000. I've always loved this trick and that's why I decide to make an improved version to make it even more beautiful and practical.
The original version consists only of cardboard, tokens are cardboard, and for the rule of the game you had to put a sheet of paper on cardboard to hide and reveal the steps slowly. Not very practical or attractive. Also provided the dice was very tiny.
So I made a version with a wooden frame painted around the game board, metallic silver /black tokens with a bright colored sticker and with felt underneath so they slide easily and do not damage the game boards, chips worth $ 1,000 has been redesigned as a gold piece. I also created a wooden box to store and present the 5 coins. The inside of the lid is magnetized to put and show the chips of $ 1,000, while the other four are ranked in the lower part of the wooden box. I changed the small dice against a large nice transparent red dice.
For the instruction board I made a case framed with wood, illustration depicting Dollars bills on the face. There is a kind of "drawer" that slides up so that viewers can read and learn the rules the one after the other. Original rules were written only in Japanese, so it was impossible to perform the trick without understanding the Japanese language, so I made a version in English (French and Japanese versions are also available) so that any anyone can use and understand the principle and instructions. I completely Hand Made this upgraded version of Game Four Chance and I think the result is successful and is really worth this awesome magic trick and makes it more enjoyable to make. I would put on sale soon on ebay.

Thank you! I am not at all a handyman But in the end by thinking a bit and looking for simple ideas, it is possible to do something fun and ultimately I'm happy. It made me want to repeat for other effects. It's actually nice to tinker. It took me even a lot of time but the result is worth it. Plus I know this trick is rare and that few people have it in his collection, yet it is a really great effect, that deserved to be part of the main line because it is really incomprehensible and clever. I've always loved Tenyo Special trick because they often use very ingenious mathematical principles in an original way, and they are often underestimated and forgotten by collectors. With hindsight and the time and after completing my collection this has become my prefered effects and those most dear to me. Frankly, Ghost Puzzle, Illusion Scale, Magical sneakers, magic Calendar, magician clock, Fortune Telling card or Four Chance game are real pearls.
I really hope one day to find the 4 that I miss, as prediction egg, Pokerchip In The Moonless Night or Telephone telephatie. We can say once again that Tenyo really done a good job with these bonus tricks by offering high-quality effects. Last year I really enjoyed Mind Roulette, I'm a little disappointed with the one out this year, Charisma, that uses cards but I hope that next year Tenyo begin again to do a unique design as the old.

This looks FANTASTIC. I don't know the trick but it looks like a winner Stereo, and if you say it is a great principle I believe you. How many are available because I'm sure people (including me) would like to buy one

Wow great job Davy!
That is done really well looks very professional.
I never seen the original or know the effect but this one looks fantastic!
Don't stop at just this one, remake some others that are favorites that need upgraded!
You should concentrate on designing your own effect with all your knowledge on how many things work.
I think you have found your niche, keep it up you may surprise yourself what you can come up with next!

Auction does not unleashed the crowds for now. Wait and see if my efforts will be rewarded lol. In any case I am already very happy that you find that the result and design is successful ;o)
I guess better now of the apprehension and the difficulties that have the team that created the Tenyo Elite line. Hard to imagine the success that may have a product. Besides, I've often thought about doing a book about all the Tenyo tricks, but I'm fairly sure that in the end there would be very very few potential customers.

I have read the description, is this more of a game than a magic trick?
Good luck with it on ebay should do well with it.

I spent around 80euros (+ price of the Four chance game trick ) to fabricate this version and it took me ten hours at least to finish. I sold it 93 euros. Yet it is a very rare trick, In fact I do not know anyone who has this one in his collection. Only 4 person place bids, while it was probably the only chance for collectors to get this trick because is impossible to find.
Although in the end it's a nice sum of money, but compared to the time invested and the cost of materials, it is not so fabulous that, far from it.
But that's okay, basically I had this idea to offer it to Glenn Duncan and thank him for having written all these great review for the blog, so I imagine Glenn will be even happier to have a copy because it will be even rarer, because I do not probably would build others copy. I'm happy to make him this gift, it was the goal.
It will stay a nice experience and I'm glad I tried to do something myself when I'm not the handyman ;o)

You did a very nice job on it and will become the rarest 4 chance game ever made so you have done something nobody else has with that you should be very proud of it. I am really surprised that only 4 bids were placed.
Maybe cause it is so obscure nobody knew what it was and just didn't even go look at it in their Tenyo search.
Might be better to make these elite version and not put them on ebay or if you do put it on "BUY IT NOW" price. Could just offer them to the crowd out here for what you feel is what you really think you want to get from it. That way if it doesn't sell for that price it doesn't get taken away on ebay for a ridiculous low price after all the hard work. If it doesn't sell you keep it and have a version nobody else has for your own collection. It is just gratifying to do something like that to have for yourself and show to others what a nice job you did. Everyone likes to see this even if they don't buy it.

Yuppers, I'm a lucky Dude! I think that the Four Chance Game fetched a good, but not excellent price at auction. Nobody seems to know much about this item as it is not even listed on the official Tenyo site. Stereo has done much to bring the annual Tenyo Specials into the light. Once it has arrived, I will do a detailed review for all on Stereo's blog. Mayhaps Stereo will take the odd order from folks around here if the effect is as good as my hunch says. Yes it is possible to guess the effetcs by copying the japanese text into google translate. The result in english is approximate, but you must have used to force to read me lol
