That's a wonderful discovery 
The end of the world according to Mayans therefore, in reality, means the beginning of a new cycle.
I've heard that concept before......

Kam it's not a concept, it's a fact.
This destruction of the World is a New age belief that started in 1994
Before that it was what it was...the Precession of the Universe.
What's happening is known as Precession.
What's happening in actually is the the Earth is crossing the galactic equator, a 15hr event.
From the Earths point of view what will happen is the Milky Way will be aligned with the horizon and due west at sunrise the gateway to the mayan underworld will show the sun rising into the doorway of their underworld.
The belief of every dog talking, stones, plants, and trees talking comes from their use of hallucinogenic potions made from toad skins, mushrooms, salvia, and more plant substances mixed and consumed at this point in time.
This is in actually the changing of the astrological houses for the next few thousands years...ie Pieces to Aquarius.
The wheel turn and continues.
all the new age BS of the end of the world is just that BS!
cleansing, flipping poles, 3 days dark light, whatever...
people like Hunbatz Men, Drunvello, and the others in this movement...they are greedy people capitalizing on the lonely masses who want/need to believe in, pay for them to be taken advantage of by those liars who promote catastrophes...sad.
The Mayan Calendar is nothing new, in fact the astronomical signs that were supposed to happen in June 2011 that signaled the beginning of this event DID NOT HAPPEN.
Hey, besides all this bs...Santana is hosting, is the MC for a huge event/concert at CHicin Itza on 12 21 2012 with Circ de Sole playing a show for the hypnotized masses.

The other thing that the Mayan lords did in order to perceive the other side of the curtain, besides the drugs, was venesection to the point of near death. Or death.
