Check out this thread: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?topic=442827&forum=109 The video was edited to make it seem different. William speaks of another trick in that thread that is "fake" because of the video. When a trick is "fake", of course it will get negative reviews. Why sell "fake" tricks?

Because magicians are easily fooled into spending their money. I have bought some tricks also from respected people that were nothing more then pipe-dreams and stuff that I would offer for free as advice.

Those pdf's I bought were 10 to 20 pounds, so not that cheap either.

In the example above it should be noted that in actuality there was nothing 'fake' in the actual product. The author was attempting to do the video demo in a manner that would not allow piracy of the technique. (Reverse engineering, etc.) An idea that I also considered, but rejected for exactly the reason that any manner of manipulating the visual data would wind up causing more trouble than it saved.

I understand totally why he did what he did. When bringing magic products to market now days it is wise to promote in oneself a fine level of paranoia.

It's also good to read far enough into a thread to attempt to find out what the 'entire' story might be.

I only sell real magic

Why do people cheat? Money! That's usually the root of it. Why? Greed or fear! Who knows!

Any way if you think you have been cheated then there is a system we have called the legal system and you can get sued if you make false accusations and so on. Trial by internet I can see that comming soon as it happens.

If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

I just avoid those sellers and always recommend against them.
