The icon which I described (to the left side of the back button) is for AirPlay and only appears when it's available. Simple like that . Jan

Airplay is a fantastic new feature. I now carry a Bose Bluetooth speaker in my close up case. To be able to add music or sound effects to your close up is really nice...

Are Airplay and Bluetooth one in the same terminology wise?
Gary I've been looking at the Bose. What are you impressions about the sound quality and the loudness of the unit. I'm thinking of using it for home birthday shows, but want to make sure that it's loud enough. Thanks, John |

Well I bought the show cues 2 weeks ago.
long story short I had been using CDs for the past 10 years and they have always served me well. however recently my cd player broke at a show and had to borrow one from the school. this got me to thinking I need to upgrade. I got show cues and the next day had to school shows. I showed my assistant how to use it (maybe spent 90 seconds) the first show ran great. I immeadiately asked her how easy was it to use. she looked at me like a was crazy and just said it was super simple. then at my next show my daughter ran the sound for me. finally I got to use it and got to tell you this is the best thing to come along for magicians in a long long long time. I also bought the remote. and they were super fast to get it to me as I needed it for a upcoming show where I had not sound guy to run things and the sound board was too far away for me to plug in and use the app itself it needed the remote. this thing is so super cool. the fades the volume adjustments. being able to set cue words and delays. holy smokes is this the best thing out there for music. I have not found a bad thing with this yet. looking forward to what ever updates you have. and thinking of buying an ipad so that I can use it on that this way when it is farther from me I can still see the tracks. I wish there was a way to have it remote to another phone or ipad so that if the sound board is far away I can connect my phone but still have some thing with me on stage to see what is going on. sam

On 2013-03-05 11:17, Sam Sandler wrote: Sam, there's another very simple way to get around that. Whenever I do a show where there is sound provided, I ask for an XLR mic connection on stage to connect my iPod Touch to. I use a direct box that allows me to connect the RCA cable from the iPod to an XLR cable. I don't think the one I own is available still but this one will do the trick: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controll......=details This way, I have the iPod Touch on my performance table so I can see it easily. I've never had a problem doing it that way and, if they have a big sound setup, they're sure to have a snake going to the stage so you can use one of the mic lines. Let me know if this doesn't make sense. Michael |

Sam, Michael is correct, that works great and I have used a direct box myself. I did switch from direct box to an idea by Wayne Rogers on our FB page, and use a wireless belt pack (like you would use for a headset mic or musical instrument). I have the belt pack plugged into my iPod Touch in my prop bag on stage. It is wirelessly connected to a receiver attached to the sound system. So with no visible wires I can have the iPod on stage with me.
Thanks, Carl |

I bought a blue tooth receiver for $25, I can sync my iPhone with it and plug the blue tooth into my sound system or the house system and it works great. Ive used it with my happi amp, fender passport and an in house system. This is one of the best magic purchases I've made in a long time!

"How good is Show Cues? It is Great. Having the Volume Control, Next Track and Pause/Play right ON the cue sheet is so intuitive and easy to use that even someone who has never seen your show can run it. Simple and powerful! Add a remote control if you want to run it yourself with the track Name showing big and bright on your iPad screen. Show Cues is a real winner! Highly recommended."
—Peter Samelson "This is a Great, Easy to use App. I just put it to my first live use on Sunday, after just getting it on Saturday night! Thanks for all your efforts into developing this for the magic community!" —Rod Chow "I love the ipad app. Wonderful integration of so many features." —David Reed-Brown "This has come SO far Carl - I'm loving it more and more." —Tim Sonefelt "Just wanted to say that I love your app and am so glad that you put this out on the market! " —Adam Ace "I highly endorse this product. I used it the entire season of ’12 and it worked like a charm. The new update, 2.0, is even better!" —Steve Gillham "Santa Claus" |

Curious about something. Now that the software fade works perfectly there does not seem to be any reason for the hardware fade button on the remote. In fact if you have your settings for a software fade and you accidently press the hardware fade button it seems to befuddle the system. So my question is qhether or not the remotes now being shipped still come with the hardware fade button or has that been disables?
By the way Conjuring Cabinet has some new stuff being offered. There is a belt clip for the orginal remote that I really like and a really tiny rectangular remote. This new remote is small but the buttons seem further apart which makes it less likely to press the wrong button by mistake. |

Downloaded Show Cues to my iPad mini last night. I have my track list and cues set up. This app is great! It'll get it's first test tomorrow night!

Aloha Mike, You are correct in that the software fade is now perfect and you should not use the old center button. We have plans to make that center button become a user programmable button. This will allow the users several options to use that button for other functions. We are very excited about that.
Everyone should check out conjuringcabinet.com to see the new accessories available. M Sini, Mahalo and enjoy! |

We used my iPad Mini and Show Cues to run sound at my theatre show on Saturday night. I was working with a sound guy that I'd hired in the past a few times. When I handed him my iPad, he just kind a gave me a look like "really?" My guy didn't miss a single cue and at the end of the show I asked him how he liked using the app. He said "It works great. Made my job a lot easier."
$70 well spent! I plan to use it in 2 upcoming shows this weekend. Due to them being smaller venues, I'll have the iPad set on my table and be running the sound myself. |
